- This study measured tramadol and its active metabolite M1 levels in Northeast Brazilian donkeys after giving them different doses (2 mg/kg and 4 mg/kg) through IV.
- Results showed higher plasma levels than those noted in humans, but increasing the dose didn't raise the drug's AUC as expected, suggesting 2 mg/kg is a safer option for donkeys, with further studies needed on tramadol's effectiveness.
