Background: There is increasing use of Robotic-Assisted (RA) and personalized alignment techniques in total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The hypothesis of this study was that RA TKA would result in fewer soft-tissue releases, and that fewer soft-tissue releases would be associated with improved clinical outcomes.
Methods: A retrospective review of an internal company registry was conducted for all primary TKAs performed from Jan 1, 2014, through a database extract date of Nov 4, 2022.
Objective: The patient's knee implant performance (PKIP) is a patient-reported outcome measure, developed in the USA in English that evaluates knee functional performance before and after primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The PKIP assesses the level of satisfaction, confidence, and stability, while performing various activities, as well as the need for changing ways of doing activities. It comprises 24 items.

Shifts of 12 h or longer have become increasingly common for nurses in hospitals in some European countries. Longer shifts offer a potential to benefit from a compressed working week, with fewer work days and more days off-work, lower commuting costs, and increased flexibility.

Introduction: This study evaluated total knee arthroplasty (TKA) outcomes for an Existing-TKA versus New-TKA from the same manufacturer.
Methods: TKA outcomes for 752 with Existing-TKA versus 1129 subjects with New-TKA were followed through 2 years using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). Responders were assessed per Outcome Measures in Rheumatology-Osteoarthritis Research Society International criteria.
Background: COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and has strikingly heterogeneous clinical manifestations, with most individuals contracting mild disease but a substantial minority experiencing fulminant cardiopulmonary symptoms or death. The clinical covariates and the laboratory tests performed on a patient provide robust statistics to guide clinical treatment. Deep learning approaches on a data set of this nature enable patient stratification and provide methods to guide clinical treatment.

Methods: Billing and coding data from a single urban institution (n = 1797) were used to compare use of PPC in patients who delivered from March to June 2020 (COVID Cohort, n = 927) and from March to June 2019 (Comparison Cohort, n = 895). χ and multivariable logistic regression models assessed relationships between cohorts, use of contraception, and interactions with postpartum visits and race/ethnicity.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the earliest time point where subjects realized the greatest clinical improvement after TKA, and the time when post-operative scores became superior to pre-operative scores. Post-hoc exploratory analyses were conducted to investigate predictors of early post-operative outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Methods: Six investigators across 4 sites in the Netherlands prospectively implanted 200 subjects with a contemporary cemented rotating platform device.
In cancer cells, metabolic pathways are reprogrammed to promote cell proliferation and growth. While the rewiring of central biosynthetic pathways is being extensively studied, the dynamics of phospholipids in cancer cells are still poorly understood. In our study, we sought to evaluate de novo biosynthesis of glycerophospholipids (GPLs) in ex vivo lung cancer explants and corresponding normal lung tissue from six patients by utilizing a stable isotopic labeling approach.
