Background And Objectives: Anti-NMDAR encephalitis (NMDARE) is a severe neurologic condition, and recently, the NMDAR Encephalitis One-Year Functional Status (NEOS) score has emerged as a 1-year prognostic tool. This study aimed to evaluate NEOS score and biomarker (neurofilament light chains [NfL], total-Tau protein, glial fibrillary acidic protein, and serum cytokines) correlation with modified Rankin Scale (mRS), cognitive impairment, and clinical recovery in pediatric NMDARE over 2 years.
Methods: In this French multicenter observational study, 104 pediatric patients with NMDARE were followed for a minimum of 2 years.
Objectives: Resective surgery in drug-resistant focal epilepsy (DRFE) requires extensive evaluation to localize the epileptogenic zone (EZ). When non-invasive phase 1 assessments (electroencephalography, EEG; magnetic resonance imaging, MRI; and F-Fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography, [F]FDG-PET) are inconclusive for EZ localization, invasive investigations such as stereo-EEG (SEEG) are necessary. Epileptogenicity maps (Ems) visualize the EZ using SEEG-identified ictal high-frequency oscillations (iHFOs).

A 61-year-old male with a history of morbid obesity, chronic kidney disease stage III, and well-controlled hypertension presented to the family medicine clinic for the evaluation of chronic painful skin lesions on his legs and torso. The lesions began 19 years prior, following a flood in the Dominican Republic (DR) where he was living at the time.

Material And Methods: Implants were placed as quads (4 ZIs) or hybrids (ZIs and conventional implants in premaxilla) in edentulous patients using various surgical approaches, evolving from the sinus slot to Chow's extended sinus lift technique with or without Bichat fat pad. The procedure was followed by immediate loading, while clinical and radiographic evaluations spanned at least 1 year after implantation.
Introduction: Requests for hormonal transition in minors are increasing. To date, there is no national recommendation to guide these practices in France. Therefore, the SFEDP (French Society of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology) has commissioned a group of experts to draft the first national consensus on this topic.

If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.

By manipulating resource availability on a local spatial scale, we studied seasonal patterns of resource use within natural populations of burying beetles in a Norfolk woodland. Burying beetles are necrophagous insects that breed on vertebrate carcasses.

In the present study, we have further evaluated the imaging and metabolic properties of [F]FC0324 in a rat model of human CBR overexpression in the brain (AAV-CB) and in non-human primates (NHPs). Autoradiography with AAV-CB rat brain sections exhibited a signal of [F]FC0324 8-fold higher in the ipsilateral region than in the contralateral region.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAnt evolutionary success depends mainly on the coordination of colony members, who recognize nestmates based on the cuticular hydrocarbon (CHC) profile of their epicuticle. While several studies have examined variations in this crucial factor for colony identity, few have investigated the anthropic impact on CHC profiles, and none have focused on . Here, we surveyed the changes in CHC assemblages across agroecosystems and assessed whether different vineyard management influences these profiles.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAccess to adequate pollen sources in agricultural landscapes is critical for the nutrition and development of bees. The type and quantity of pollen available to bees and may be determined by local plant diversity, land-use intensity and landscape structure but different bee species likely respond differently to these parameters. Identifying community and specific responses is therefore imperative to understand pollinator population dynamics in agricultural landscapes.

The dataset used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector. Two fiducial regions with an enhanced presence of events featuring two longitudinally polarized bosons are defined.

Differentiation between paediatric MS (PedMS) and other demyelinating syndromes (ODSs) is challenging. In adult with MS, the kappa free light chain (KFLC) index has proven to be a reliable marker of intrathecal Ig synthesis.

Background: Pregnant women are more vulnerable to the severe effects of COVID-19 compared to their non-pregnant peers. Early in the pandemic, there was a rise in cesarean deliveries and preterm births among infected pregnant women. This study aims to evaluate whether there were any changes in obstetric interventions during the first two waves of the pandemic in Belgium.

Searches targeting pure-wino chargino pair production, pure-wino chargino-neutralino production, or Higgsino production decaying via standard model W, Z, or h bosons are combined to extend the mass reach to the produced supersymmetric particles by 30-100 GeV. The depth of the sensitivity of the original searches is also improved by the combinations, lowering the 95% C.

Monitoring contraceptive use is a major public health issue that usually relies on population-based surveys. However, these surveys are conducted on average every 6 years and do not allow close follow-up of contraceptive use.

Unlabelled: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has triggered a serious global health crisis, resulting in millions of reported deaths since its initial identification in China in November 2019. The global disparities in immunization access emphasize the urgent need for ongoing research into therapeutic interventions. This study focuses on the potential use of molecular dihydrogen (H2) inhalation as an adjunctive treatment for COVID-19.

Serum AMH concentrations are at their lowest levels in the first days after birth but increase after the first week, likely reflecting active Sertoli cell proliferation. AMH rises rapidly in concentration in boys during the first month, reaching a peak level at ∼6 months of age, and it remains high during childhood, then they will slowly decline during puberty, falling to low levels in adulthood.

Higgsinos with masses near the electroweak scale can solve the hierarchy problem and provide a dark matter candidate, while detecting them at the LHC remains challenging if their mass splitting is O(1 GeV). This Letter presents a novel search for nearly mass-degenerate Higgsinos in events with an energetic jet, missing transverse momentum, and a low-momentum track with a significant transverse impact parameter using 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV collected by the ATLAS experiment. For the first time since LEP, a range of mass splittings between the lightest charged and neutral Higgsinos from 0.
