Responses of three urban U.S. Children's Hospitals to COVID-19: Seattle, New York and New Orleans.

Since January 2020, there has been a worldwide pandemic of COVID-19, caused by a novel coronavirus-severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The United States has been particularly affected, with the largest number of confirmed cases in a single country in the world. Healthcare systems for adults as well as children have dealt with challenges.

Cardiac damage is frequently referred to in patients with SARS-CoV-2, is usually diagnosed by enzyme elevations, and is generally thought to be due to underlying coronary artery disease. There are references to cardiomyopathies accompanying coronavirus, but there has been no histologic confirmation. A previously healthy 17 year male old presented in full cardiac arrest to the emergency department after a 2 day history of headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

Complete unilateral leg duplication with ipsilateral renal agenesis.

Unlabelled: A case of a 5-month-old infant with complete duplication of the right leg and ipsilateral renal agenesis is presented. There was also a duplicated scrotum, posterior urethral valves with hydronephrosis, abnormal pelvic bones, and a ventricular septal defect. Complete caudal duplication is exceedingly rare.
