Objectives: To describe demographics, clinical features, and treatment outcomes of patients with highly drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB) in Ukraine, and to evaluate risk factors for an unsuccessful outcome.

Methods: Data from patients with multi-, pre-extensively, or extensively drug-resistant TB were collected prospectively from TB dispensaries in 15 out of 24 Ukrainian oblasts (regions) from 2020 to 2021. Treatment outcomes were evaluated using WHO definitions.

Objective: The aim: To analyze the changes in indicators of tuberculosis mycobacteria sensitivity to anti-mycobacterial drugs over the past nine years in Ternopol region (Ukraine) and to develop recommendations for the use of drug combinations in this region.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The medical examinations were carried out in the Clinical and Diagnostic Laboratory of Ternopil Regional Tuberculosis Hospital during 2007-2017. Sensitivity analysis was carried out on a solid Löwenstein-Jensen medium and in liquid Meedlebrook medium using automatic bacteriological BACTEC 1443 tests with addition to the media of first line anti-TB drugs.

Background: The prevalence of asthma and other allergic diseases among children living in Eastern is not well described. Our objective was to estimate and compare the prevalence of asthma, respiratory symptoms and allergic diseases in children in Belarus, Ukraine, and Poland as well as to identify risk factors for these conditions. We also sought to profile and compare children with asthma between locations.
