Experimental Design: On 105 consecutive IO-treated advanced NSCLC, PB immunophenotypes, cytokines and CT-derived radiomic features (RFs), extracted from primary and merged metastatic lesions, were prospectively collected at baseline (T0) and first disease assessment (T1, 9-12 weeks), and their delta (Δ) variation [(T1-T0)/T0] computed. AR, defined as progression after initial response (complete/partial) or stable disease ≥ 6 months, was subdivided according to the number of new and/or progressive lesions in oligoAR (≤3) and sysAR (>3).
Background: Supratotal-Resection (SpTR) is a promising surgical strategy in Lower-grade gliomas (LGGs). SpTR assessment, feasibility and distinctive features, as well as clinical benefit at first and second surgery and on overall-survival must be better characterized. The critical percentage of resection exceeding FLAIR margins to obtain clinical benefit and its impact on long-term functional performance are also undefined.

Results: The ALINA trial evaluated the clinical benefit of adjuvant alectinib compared with standard chemotherapy and met the primary endpoint with a significant increase in disease-free survival at 2 years among anaplastic lymphoma kinase positive patients with stage IB-IIIA disease; two phase II trials (ALNEO and NAUTIKA1) are currently evaluating perioperative treatment with alectinib, and the results of the case reports published to date are encouraging.
Conclusion: In resectable anaplastic lymphoma kinase-positive lung cancer, adjuvant alectinib represents the new standard of care and could soon be used in perioperative treatment.

Inactivation of the tumor suppressor gene cellular communication network factor 6 (CCN6; also known as Wnt1-induced secreted protein 3) is a feature of mBrCAs, and mice with conditional inactivation of Ccn6 in mammary epithelium (Ccn6-KO) develop spindle mBrCAs with epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. Elucidation of the precise mechanistic details of how CCN6 acts as a tumor suppressor in mBrCA could help identify improved treatment strategies.

Within this framework is crucial to develop reliable methods for spatial localization of DES-derived information to be integrated within the neuroimaging workflow.
New Method: To this aim, we applied the Kernel Density Estimation for modelling the distribution of DES sites from different patients into the MNI space.
Purpose: The aim of this multi-center, retrospective/prospective cohort observational study was to evaluate outcomes in routine clinical practice of first-line chemo-immunotherapy with cis/carboplatin, pemetrexed and pembrolizumab in patients with advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in 33 Italian centers.
Methods: The outcome measure was to evaluate overall survival (OS) in a real-world patient population. Secondary endpoints were: progression-free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), duration of response (DoR) and incidence of treatment-related adverse events (AEs).

However, a relevant percentage of NSCLC patients, even with high PD-L1 expression, did not respond to ICI, highlighting the presence of intracellular resistance mechanisms that could be dependent on high PD-L1 levels. Background: Cell-cycle regulators are mutated in approximately 40% of all cancer types and have already been linked to worse outcomes in non-small cell lung cancer adenocarcinomas treated with osimertinib. However, their exact role in osimertinib resistance has not been elucidated.
Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate how the CDK4/6-Rb axis may affect the sensitivity to osimertinib.
Despite human's praxis abilities are unique among primates, comparative observations suggest that these cognitive motor skills could have emerged from exploitation and adaptation of phylogenetically older building blocks, namely the parieto-frontal networks subserving prehension and manipulation. Within this framework, investigating to which extent praxis and prehension-manipulation overlap and diverge within parieto-frontal circuits could help in understanding how human cognition shapes hand actions. This issue has never been investigated by combining lesion mapping and direct electrophysiological approaches in neurosurgical patients.

Objectives: Patients with lung cancer experience high rates of hospitalisation, mainly due to the high risk of complications that emerge during the natural history of the disease. We designed a retrospective, single-centre, observational study aimed at defining the clinical predictors of 30-day mortality in hospitalised patients with lung cancer.
Methods: Clinical records from the first admission of patients with lung cancer to the oncology ward of the University Hospital of Parma from 1 January 2017 to 1 January 2022 were collected.
Background: Hypovitaminosis D can have a negative prognostic impact in patients with cancer. Vitamin D has a demonstrated role in T-cell-mediated immune activation.
