Developing and testing personalised nutrition feedback for more sustainable healthy diets: the MyPlanetDiet randomised controlled trial protocol.

Purpose: Agriculture and food production contribute to climate change. There is mounting pressure to transition to diets with less environmental impact while maintaining nutritional adequacy. MyPlanetDiet aimed to reduce diet-related greenhouse gas emissions (GHGE) in a safe, nutritionally adequate, and acceptable manner.

Harnessing the power on our plates: sustainable dietary patterns for public and planetary health.

Globally, diet quality is poor, with populations failing to achieve national dietary guidelines. Such failure has been consistently linked with malnutrition and poorer health outcomes. In addition to the impact of diet on health outcomes, it is now accepted that what we eat, and the resulting food system, has significant environmental or planetary health impacts.

A qualitative study of mothers' health literacy related to malnutrition in under 5-year-old children in southern Mozambique.

Objective: To explore mothers' perceptions of malnutrition and its causes in U-5's in Mozambique, as well as their ability to recognise, prevent and act on signs of malnutrition.

Design: A qualitative exploratory inquiry using focus group discussions and individual interviews analysed using Nutbeam's health literacy themes.

Setting: Manhiça District Hospital in Manhiça, Mozambique.
