The paper concerns the application a high-pressure abrasive waterjet (AWJ) for cutting the most commonly used rock materials such as granite, limestone, basalt and marble. Based on the analysis of the literature, the influence of parameters on the specific energy E, specific energy of cutting E and specific energy of intersection E was determined. The objective of this work is to present the numerical simulation of the air-bending process of DC01 steel. There are plenty of works concerned with assessing the springback phenomenon in the bending process also using anisotropic material models (Hill's model is widely used). A comparative study was carried out of emissions from the catalytic combustion of pellets made from furniture board waste and pellets made from wood mixed with FeO. The mass content of the FeO catalyst in the fuel was varied from 0% to 5%, 10%, and 15% in relation to the total dry mass weight of the pellets. The average flame temperature in the boiler was between 730 and 800 °C.

Granulated beet pulp and wheat straw, first separately and then mixed in a weight ratio of 50/50%, underwent a pyrolysis process in a laboratory batch generator with process temperatures of 400 and 500 °C. The feedstock's chemical composition and the pyrolysis products' chemical composition (biochar and pyrolysis gas) were analysed. A synergistic effect was observed in the co-pyrolysis of the combined feedstock, which occurred as an increase the content of the arising gas in relation to the total weight of the products.

The paper presents the results of investigations into the possibility of using ahigh-pressure water-ice jet as a new method for removing a worn-out paint coating from the surface of metal parts (including those found in means of transportation) and for preparing the base surface for the application of renovation paint coating. Experimental investigations were carried out in four stages, on flat specimens, sized S × H = 75 × 115 mm, cut from sheet metal made of various materials such as steel X5CrNi18-10, PA2 aluminium alloy and PMMA polymethyl methacrylate (plastic). In the first stage, the surfaces of the samples were subjected to observation of surface morphology under a scanning electron microscope, and surface topography (ST) measurements were made on a profilographometer.

The article presents the original technology of the extrusion of hollow curved pipes. The curvature radius of pipe axis was obtained directly during extrusion by eccentric alignment of the annular calibration gap of the extrusion die. Theoretical relationships describing the radius of curvature of the extruded part as a function of the eccentricity e of position of the annular calibration gap in the die were developed.

The article presents the results of investigations into the depth of the plastically deformed surface layer in the roller burnishing process. The investigation was carried out in order to obtain information on the dependence relationship between the depth of plastic deformation, the pressure on the roller and the braking torque. The research was carried out according to the original method developed by the authors, in which the depth of plastic deformation is increased by applying a braking torque to the burnishing roller.

This work presents experimental studies aiming at the development of new technology and guidelines for shaping labels from polypropylene multilayer foil using an ultraviolet (UV) laser cutting operation. Currently on production lines, the shaping of labels is undertaken by mechanical cutting or laser cutting, taking into account the phenomenon of hot ablation. These technologies cause many problems such as burr formation on labels sheared edges, rapid tool wear, or heat-affected zone (HAZ) formation.
