As head and neck cancer (HNC) affects regions directly related to the digestive tract, it is consistently associated with nutritional impact symptoms (NISs), which further reduce food intake and affect nutritional status. Early identification of patients with NIS can assist therapy. This is a cross-sectional study with HNC patients from a cancer reference hospital.

Compartmentation of the immune response into 3 main spatial cancer-immune phenotypes (SCIs) - inflamed, excluded, and desert - has been proposed as the main predictor of response to immune checkpoint inhibitors in solid tumors. The objective of the study was to define and characterize the SCI in a consecutive series of 213 endometrial carcinomas (ECs) by correlating it with molecular subtypes, clinicopathologic features, and prognosis. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and next-generation sequencing were used to assign surrogate molecular EC subtypes: POLE mutant (POLE), mismatch repair deficient (MMRd), TP53 mutant (p53abn), and no specific molecular profile (NSMP).

Background: In May 2023, Romagna, Italy, faced a devastating flood resulting in 16 fatalities, forced displacement of 26,000 citizens, and significant economic losses. Due to potential water contamination, implementing public health strategies became imperative for the Local Health Authority to mitigate the health consequences, analyze the flood's impact on the local population's health, and detect early anomalies requiring timely public health interventions.

Methods: Between June and July 2023, general practitioners who were part of the RespiVirNet surveillance network completed weekly structured forms.

Purpose: To evaluate the prevalence of deep and superficial dyspareunia in women with diagnosis of endometriosis. Secondly, to assess the temporal relation between deep and superficial dyspareunia in women reporting both symptoms (concomitant dyspareunia) and the impact on quality of life (QoL) and sexual function.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional cohort study that included fertile women with diagnosis of endometriosis.

Aims: To examine whether age at type 2 diabetes onset is an independent predictor of dementia risk.

Methods: Retrospective cohort drawn from healthcare administrative records of all inhabitants within Romagna's catchment area, Italy, with an estimated onset of type 2 diabetes in 2008-2017 and aged ≥ 55, with follow-up until 2020. Time to dementia or censoring was estimated with the Kaplan-Meier method, using diabetes onset as the time origin.

Background: Herpes Zoster is an age dependent disease and as such it represents a problem in the Italian social context, where the demographic curve is characterized by an overrepresentation of the elderly population. Vaccines against Herpes Zoster are available, safe and effective, however coverage remains sub-optimal. This study was therefore conducted to examine the variations in Herpes Zoster vaccine uptake and confidence across different regions in Italy.

Background: Limited evidence is available regarding the superior clinical properties of bioceramic sealers comparted with traditional standard sealers.

Objectives: This review aimed to answer the following research questions: 'In healthy patients requiring a root canal treatment (P), what is the efficacy of premixed bioceramic sealers (I) compared with traditional root canal epoxy resin-based sealers (C) in terms of survival, success rates (PICO1) sealer extrusion and resorption (PICO2) post-obturation pain (PICO3) (O)?'

Methods: Authors independently searched three electronic databases: PubMed (including MEDLINE), Web of Science, Embase and Scopus up to 31 October 2023. This was accompanied by both grey literature and manual search.
