AbstractIn brittle stars, the coelomic cavities that form during embryogenesis contribute to most of the internal organ systems of the juvenile. In the ancestral mode of development, the coelomic cavities begin with bilateral symmetry and play a minor role in the function of the ophiopluteus larva. However, the coelomic cavities undergo extensive changes during metamorphosis to set up the body systems of the juvenile brittle star.

Comparison of Nonprofit Hospital Community Benefit Substance Abuse Identification and Practice Implementation in Appalachian and Non-Appalachian Counties.

Context: As substance use continues to be a public health crisis nationally, it disproportionately affects the Appalachian region.

Objectives: Our research seeks to explore whether there is a greater substance use burden in Appalachia and whether that burden is being prioritized in local hospital systems' community health needs assessments (CHNAs) and implementation strategies (ISs).

Setting: The setting for this study is the 13 states that are represented within the Appalachian region.

Methods: Using data from a nationally representative data set of 485 nonprofit hospital community health needs assessments for the years 2018-2021, this study employed a multivariate logistic regression model to examine the association between hospitals' use of equity as a guiding theme in the community health needs assessment and binary indicators of alignment for 6 common community health needs: access to care, chronic illness, obesity, mental health, substance use, and social determinants of health.

Complex syntax production is known to lag in children and adolescents with language impairment. Conversation, narrative, and expository language sampling contexts are recommended tools for the comprehensive assessment of school-age children, including syntactic abilities.

Introduction: This study aimed to assess patient compliance with a newly established electronic patient-reported outcome measure (ePROM) system after urologic surgery and to identify influencing factors.

This systematic review follows the recommendations of the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews and Interventions and was conducted in line with the PRISMA statement and the AMSTAR II criteria. A cystic entity from the porta hepatis of a 64-year-old female patient was sent in for rapid section diagnostics with a clinical suspicion of pancreatic cancer. The rapid section diagnostics revealed aspects of glandular proliferation with mucous-like material in the lumina which led to the suspicion of infiltration of a highly differentiated mucinous adenocarcinoma. Materials And Methods: Between 2004 and 2008 nine patients with renal vascular lesions were treated with transcatheter arterial embolization using Onyx. The renal vascular lesions consisted of 4 AV-fistulas, a pseudoaneurysm, bleeding from a single subsegmental artery, diffuse parenchymal bleeding after trauma, septic embolizations and multiple aneurysms in endocarditis.
