The Effect of COVID-19 on Dental Education in Saudi Arabia.

Aim: The aim of this study was to comprehensively explore and evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on dental education as perceived by dental students in Saudi Arabia.

Methods: Data were collected through a validated questionnaire from dental students at three universities. Demographic variables and students' experiences with online learning were examined.

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the knowledge and attitude of dental interns regarding tooth auto-transplantation and to determine the need for additional education on this topic among dental interns.

Methods: Ethical approval was obtained for the study. A self-administered questionnaire was designed, validated, and distributed to dental interns from various dental schools in the Western Province of Saudi Arabia.

BACKGROUND Amyloidosis is a clinical condition characterized by the extracellular deposition of insoluble, abnormal amyloid fibrils in various body tissues. It is generally categorized into 2 forms - localized and systemic - with a wide range of signs and symptoms. This case report discusses the localized amyloidosis involvement of the oral cavity and its treatment.

Periodontal disease (PD) is among the most common infectious diseases affecting humans. While the burden of periodontal disease on oral health has been extensively investigated, a possible specific relationship between the disease and systemic health is a relatively new area of interest. More recently it has been suggested that PD has an etiological role in the development of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, and preterm low-birth weight, among others.
