Background: Advanced biliary tract cancer (BTC) has a poor prognosis. Gemcitabine with platinum chemotherapy was the standard first-line chemotherapeutic regimen until the recent addition of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies. After disease progression, the only second-line chemotherapy that has demonstrated a survival benefit versus supportive care is FOLFOX (folinic acid, fluorouracil, and oxaliplatin), with a modest benefit.

Background: We have done a systematic literature review about CRC Screening over 75 years old in order to update knowledge and make recommendations.

Methods: PUBMED database was searched in October 2021 for articles published on CRC screening in the elderly, and generated 249 articles. Further searches were made to find articles on the acceptability, efficacy, and harms of screening in this population, together with the state of international guidelines.

In this position paper the Société Francophone d'OncoGériatrie (SOFOG; French-speaking oncogeriatric society), the Société Française de Pharmacie Oncologique (SFPO, French society for oncology pharmacy), the Groupe d'Investigateurs Nationaux pour l'Étude des Cancers de l'Ovaire et du sein (GINECO, National Investigators' Group for Studies in Ovarian and Breast Cancer) and the Groupe Français de chirurgie Oncologique et Gynécologique (FRANCOGYN) propose a multi-disciplinary care planning of ovarian cancer in older patients. The treatment pathway is based on four successive decisional nodes (diagnosis, resectability assessment, operability assessment, adjuvant, and maintenance treatment decision) implying multidisciplinarity and adaptation of the treatment plan according to the patient's geriatric covariates and her motivation towards treatment. Specific attention must be paid to geriatric intervention, supportive care and pharmaceutical conciliation.

Background/aim: The aim of this monocentric study was to evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of a polychemotherapy regimen based on gemcitabine, docetaxel, capecitabine, cisplatin (PDGX) as second-line for advanced pancreatic cancer after FOLFIRINOX.

Patients And Methods: Patients received FOLFIRINOX as first-line regimen were retrospectively identified between January 2016 and January 2019. After disease progression or unacceptable toxicity, patients eligible for second-line therapy were treated in our center by PDGX.

KRAS (Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene) or BRAF (v-raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1) constitutive activation leads to anti-EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) therapy resistance of metastatic colorectal cancer patients. In this article we investigate the effects of anti-MEK (mitogen-activated protein kinase) antibody (trametinib) combined with anti-EGFR (cetuximab) on colon cancer cell lines with different RAS statuses. Even though cetuximab has no effect on RAS cell viability and ERK (extracellular-signal-regulated kinase) phosphorylation (one of the last kinases of the EGFR pathway), trametinib can induce cell death and inhibit the activation of ERK alone or in combination with cetuximab.
