The objective of the study was to evaluate the profile and diagnostic significance of serum autoantibodies in infertile patients with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). The pilot study included 26 patients of reproductive age with POI and diminished ovarian reserve who received complex treatment using new surgical technologies (Group 1) and 18 patients without POI (Group 2). The profile of serum autoantibodies, including anti-ovarian antibodies, antibodies against thyroid peroxidase (TPO), steroidogenic enzymes, and steroid and gonadotropic hormones, was studied using modified ELISAs and human recombinant steroidogenic enzymes (CYP11A1, CYP19A1, CYP21A2).

Objective: To calculate the predictive value and thus the clinical usefulness of transvaginal ultrasound (US) imaging for the management of deep endometriosis, knowing that the positive predictive value (PPV) varies with the prevalence and probably with the volume and location of the disease.

Data Sources: After registration on PROSPERO (CRD42022366323), PubMed was searched for all reports describing the diagnostic accuracy of US imaging for deep endometriosis published between January 1, 2000, and October 20, 2022.

Methods Of Study Selection: The 536 articles on "endometriosis AND US And diagnosis" were hand searched, and 30 reports describing sensitivity and specificity of deep endometriosis were found.

According to world statistics, men are more susceptible to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) than are women. Considering the interconnection between infections and male infertility, investigation of the potential impact of COVID-19 on men's reproductive health is now a particularly relevant topic. Published data indicate decreased sperm quality and orchitis development in patients with COVID-19, including reduced sperm count, decreased sperm motility, and elevated DNA fragmentation index.

In order to determine genetic loci associated with decreasing risk of uterine leiomyomata (UL), a genome-wide association study (GWAS) was performed. We analyzed a group of patients with a family history of UL and a control group consisting of patients without uterine fibroids and a family predisposition to this pathology. Six significant single nucleotide polymorphisms were selected for PCR-genotyping of a large data set of patients with UL.

Peritoneal fluid in ovulatory women is an ovarian exudate with higher estrogen and progesterone concentrations than in plasma. In the follicular phase, progesterone concentrations are as high as plasma concentrations in the luteal phase. After ovulation, estrogen and progesterone concentrations in the peritoneal fluid are 5-10 times higher than in plasma, both in women with and without endometriosis.

As the diagnosis requires a laparoscopy, we only have data in women with pain and/or infertility. Endometriosis has been considered to be a single disease defined as 'endometrium like glands and stroma outside the uterus'. However, subtle, typical, cystic ovarian and deep endometriosis lesions should be considered to be different pathologies which occur in all combinations and with different severities.

The possibility that binuclear dinitrosyl iron complexes with glutathione and cysteine (DNIC-GSН and B-DNIC-Cys) have a strong cytotoxic effect on the growth of endometrioid tumours (EMT) in rats with surgically induced experimental endometriosis established in our previous studies has been supported with experimental data. The increase in the DNIC-GSН or B-DNIC-Cys dose from 10 (in our previous studies) to 20 μmol/kg (after i/p administration to experimental rats) fully suppressed the growth of uterine tissues implanted onto the inner surface of the abdominal wall. At 2 μmol/kg DNIC-GSН, the median value of EMT volume increased from 0 to 15 mm, while the mean size of EMT-from 55 to 77 mm (data from EMT measurements in 10 experimental rats).
