Trop2 exhibits significantly elevated expression in numerous solid malignancies, playing a crucial role in tumor advancement, whereas its presence in healthy tissues is minimal. In this study, we investigated Trop2 expression in bladder cancer models using [Cu]Cu-NOTA-Trodelvy for immunoPET imaging. In HT-1376 models, [Cu]Cu-NOTA-Trodelvy effectively visualized tumor as early as 12 h p.

Unidirectional ultrasonic guided waves (UGWs) play a crucial role in the nondestructive testing and evaluation (NDT&E) domains, offering unique advantages in detecting material defects, evaluating structural integrity, and improving the accuracy of thickness measurements. This review paper thoroughly studies the state of the art of unidirectional UGWs before presenting a comprehensive review of the foundational mathematical principles of unidirectional UGWs, focusing on the recent advancements in their methodologies and applications. This review introduces ultrasonic guided waves and their modes before looking at mode excitability and selectivity, signal excitation, and mechanisms used to generate and receive guided waves unidirectionally.

Purpose: The Trop2-targeting antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) sacituzumab govitecan (Trodelvy) has demonstrated remarkable efficacy in patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). ImmunoPET imaging offers a noninvasive method to visualize the expression and distribution of target antigens in vivo. In this study, we developed F(ab') fragments of Trodelvy for immunoPET imaging to detect Trop2 expression in TNBC models, aiming to achieve a shorter imaging window.

Tetrahedral halides are promising candidates for infrared (IR) nonlinear optical (NLO) materials, exhibiting balanced properties due to their wide IR transparency, large energy bandgaps, and strong NLO effects. When containing monovalent Ga/In cations with lone-electron pairs, tetrahedral halides are not only capable of producing strong anisotropic optical effects, but also of maintaining an excellent performance balance. AGaCl (A = Ga, In) is an example of this distinctive system, although it has a narrower IR transparency range than AgGaS and tends to deliquesce.

Background: Sarcomatoid differentiation is an invasive dedifferentiated feature of tumor and associated with poor prognosis in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) patients. This study aimed to evaluate the utility of F-FDG PET/CT in predicting sarcomatoid differentiation in RCC and its potential prognostic value.

Results: This retrospective study assessed newly diagnosed sarcomatoid differentiation renal cell carcinoma (SDRCC) patients who were staged using F-FDG PET/CT.

Inorganic halide perovskites have been regarded as potential candidates for nonlinear optical (NLO) materials due to their large bandgaps and second-harmonic generation (SHG) effects. If these crystals exhibit large optical anisotropy, their birefringent phase-matching ability will undergo enhancement. In this study, a one-dimensional (1D) halide perovskite, RbGeI, was experimentally synthesized.

Introduction: Allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) therapy, also known as universal CAR-T (UCAR-T) therapy, offers broad applicability, high production efficiency, and reduced costs, enabling quicker access for patients. However, clinical application remains limited by challenges such as immune rejection, and issues with potency and durability.

Methods: We first screened a safe and effective anti-CD70 scFv to construct anti-CD70 CAR-T cells.

Aims: To evaluate characteristics and glycemic outcomes in individuals with type 2 diabetes using injectable therapies in real-world clinical practice in Tianjin, China.

Materials And Methods: Data from inpatients and outpatients receiving injectable therapies between January 2015 and December 2019 were collected from the Tianjin regional electronic medical records and retrospectively analyzed. Seven cohorts were identified, including individuals initiating injectable therapies (premixed insulin [n = 4,687], basal insulin [4,177], or glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists [541]) or switching injectable therapies (premixed insulin to basal insulin [1,298], basal insulin to premixed insulin [1,457], basal insulin to basal + bolus insulin [1,772], or glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists to basal insulin ± glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists [82]).

Seed color is a critical quality trait in numerous plant species. In oilseed crops, including rapeseed and mustard, yellow seeds are distinguished by their significantly higher oil content and faster germination rates compared to black or brown counterparts. Despite the agronomic significance of the yellow seeds being a prime breeding target, the mechanisms underlying elevated oil content remain obscure.

Purpose: Trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2 (Trop2) is overexpressed in various solid tumors and contributes to tumor progression, while its expression remains low in normal tissues. Trop2-targeting antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), sacituzumab govitecan-hziy (Trodelvy), has shown efficacy in targeting this antigen. Leveraging the enhanced specificity of ADCs, we conducted the first immunoPET imaging study of Trop2 expression in gastric cancer (GC) and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) models using Zr-labeled Trodelvy ([Zr]Zr-DFO-Trodelvy).

Tetrahedral halides with broad transparency and large second harmonic effects have the potential to serve as mid-infrared wide-bandgap materials with balanced nonlinear-optical (NLO) properties. However, their regular tetrahedral motifs tend to exhibit low optical birefringence (Δ < 0.03) due to limited structural anisotropy, which constrains their practical phase-matched capability.

Article Synopsis
  • Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a rare and aggressive pediatric cancer that commonly affects children and adolescents, with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS) often developing in areas like the trunk and head/neck.
  • An 11-year-old girl diagnosed with ARMS presented with a perianal mass, showing aggressive metastasis to the pleura, lymph nodes, and even bones, which is less common.
  • The case underscores the difficulties in diagnosing and treating ARMS, stressing the importance of early detection, advanced imaging techniques, and the need for ongoing research to develop better treatment options.

Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) NS2B-NS3 is a protein complex composed of NS3 proteases and an NS2B co-factor. The N-terminal protease domain (180 residues) of NS3 (NS3(pro)) interacts directly with a central 40-amino acid hydrophilic domain of NS2B (NS2B(H)) to form an active serine protease. In this study, the recombinant NS2B(H)-NS3(pro) proteases were prepared in and used to compare the enzymatic activity between genotype I (GI) and III (GIII) NS2B-NS3 proteases.

Excess intrinsic Ge vacancies in GeTe materials lead to excessively high hole concentration and high thermal conductivity, producing poor thermoelectric performance. Here, synergistic control and optimization of the thermoelectric transport properties and microstructure of GeTe-based materials were achieved through co-doping with In and rare earth element Y, resulting in a significant enhancement of thermoelectric performance. The GeInYTe sample reached a ZT of 1.
