Introduction: Dry eye disease (DED) is one of the most prevalent eye conditions worldwide, with artificial tears serving as a primary treatment option. Despite their wide availability on the European market, there is a lack of established classifications based on their physicochemical properties. The aim of our study was therefore (i) to develop an analytical method that measures the concentration and the molecular weight (MW) of the hyaluronic acid (HA) in commercialized products, and (ii) to propose an overview based on their various physicochemical parameters.

Subsequently named DiPRO1 (Death, Differentiation, and PROliferation related PROtein 1), our study provides substantial evidence of its role in the differentiation and proliferation of human myoblasts. DiPRO1 operates through the regulatory binding regions of SIX1, a master regulator of myogenesis.

Materials & Methods: Ischemia/Reperfusion was induced in C57BL/6J male mice. Left coronary artery was ligated during 45 min followed by reperfusion.
Background: Inflammation is deeply involved in the pathophysiology of ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) lesions and ventricular remodeling due to an acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Colchicine as a pleiotropic anti-inflammatory molecule may exert cardioprotective effects under acute ischemia. Here, we aimed to evaluate the impact of colchicine on reperfusion injury in a mouse model.

The Zenith Bifurcated Iliac Side (ZBIS(®)) stent graft (Cook Medical) is a branched stent graft making it possible to preserve the internal iliac arteries (IIAs) using a totally endovascular procedure.
Methods: The purpose of this monocentric retrospective study was to analyze the results of the ZBIS stent graft among patients presenting aortoiliac aneurysms extending to the iliac bifurcation treated between January 1st, 2010 and January 1st, 2015 in the department of vascular surgery of the University Hospital of Toulouse.

Background And Purpose: Antithrombotic (anticoagulants and antiplatelets) are responsible for iatrogenic accidents, with a specific impact in neurosurgery. Bleeding complications are the most common and best-known. But the link to antiplatelet or to dual association of antithrombotic treatment with intracranial haemorrhage is not complete yet.

We report here a diffuse large B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma occurring in a man with ALPS. Fas-mediated lymphocyte apoptosis was defective in vitro, owing to a mutation within the death domain of the Fas molecule.

While single-tooth replacement can be accomplished with predictability using implant therapy, this procedure is challenging in the anterior region where numerous criteria must be evaluated by the restorative team. The available height of bone, soft tissue volume, and three-dimensional position of the anticipated implant restoration are among the numerous concerns that must be addressed prior to the initiation of treatment. This article provides a comprehensive review for the selection and placement of implants in the aesthetic region and illustrates these principles with a case presentation.

A statistical study of the Steri-Oss implant system, concerning 673 implants placed in 280 patients in the course of a 5-year period, allows a therapeutic proposal to be made that will optimize the success rate of osseointegration. The study revealed indications specific to each type of implant, according to the depth and density of available bone. The use of titanium screws is recommended whenever bone quality is type I.
