Impact of standardized templates and skin cancer learning modules for teledermatology consultations.

Background: Little research has been done in teledermatology to examine the effects of standardized templates and subject-specific learning modules.

Methods: We performed a prospective study examining the effects of standardized templates and standardized cutaneous oncology learning modules on teledermatology referrals at Mayo Clinic. This data was then compared to previous teledermatology referrals before standardized templates were adopted.

Collaboration and autonomy: perceptions among nurse practitioners.

Purpose: This descriptive study was designed to investigate the relationship between nurse practitioners' (NPs) perceptions of collaboration with physician colleagues and level of autonomy NP practice.

Data Sources: A convenience sample of 99 NPs attending a national clinical conference completed the Dempster Practice Behavior Scale (DPBS) and the Collaborative Practice Scale modified for advanced practice nurses.

Conclusions: NPs rated both their perceptions of collaboration with physician colleagues and levels of autonomy as high.

Health care interventions for intimate partner violence: what women want.

Objective: We sought to determine what women want from health care interventions for intimate partner violence (IPV) and understand why they found certain interventions useful or not useful.

Methods: We conducted interviews with 21 women who have a past or current history of intimate partner violence. Participants were given cards describing various IPV interventions and asked to perform a pile sort by placing cards into three categories ("definitely yes," "maybe," and "definitely no") indicating whether they would want that resource available.
