We conducted a retrospective population-based, matched cohort study using the National Health Insurance Research Database to estimate healthcare resource utilisation (HRU) and costs in patients with newly diagnosed AL amyloidosis in Taiwan. Cases were matched 10:1 by age, sex, and area of residence to patients without AL amyloidosis (comparators) randomly selected from the database during the same time period. Annual all-cause HRU and costs for 3 years were quantified.

The incidence rate of AL (light-chain) amyloidosis is not known in Asia. We conducted a retrospective cohort study using the Taiwan National Healthcare Insurance Research database and Death Registry to estimate incidence and all-cause case fatality rates, and characteristics of patients with AL amyloidosis in Taiwan. All patients with confirmed, newly diagnosed AL amyloidosis from 01-Jan-2016 until 31-Dec-2019 were enrolled and followed up until dis-enrolment, death or study end (31-Dec-2019).

Complete disease journey and risk factors for poor outcomes are needed to facilitate effectiveness evaluations of new therapies and clinical decision-making in B-cell Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL), particularly in Asia where such data are lacking. This retrospective cohort study used electronic medical records from a regional medical centre in southern Taiwan to follow-up 441 patients newly diagnosed with common B-NHL subtypes: Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL), Follicular Lymphoma (FL), Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (CLL/SLL), Marginal Zone Lymphoma (MZL), Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL), and Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM), between 01-Jan-2008 and 31-Dec-2013, until 31-Dec-2017. Treatment pathways were modelled using a Markov approach.

Purpose: The epidemiology of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (BNHL) in Asia is not well described, and rates of second primary malignancies (SPM) in these patients are not known. We aimed to describe temporal changes in BNHL epidemiology and SPM incidence in Korea.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective cohort study used claims data from the National Health Insurance Service that provides universal healthcare coverage in Korea.

Background: Although the incidence of multiple myeloma (MM) in Asia is lower than in Western countries, it is steadily increasing. However, limited data are available that describe the epidemiology of MM in Asia.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study using the Taiwan National Healthcare Insurance Research database to estimate the disease burden and clinical characteristics of patients with MM in Taiwan.
