Background: Although intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) immunotherapy usually exhibits a favorable safety profile, it can lead to the development of BCG infections, both localized and disseminated. Understanding of BCG infections following intravesical BCG immunotherapy is limited because of the lack of consensus definitions of BCG infections and limited post-instillation follow-up. We aim to perform a systematic review of the literature of BCG infections following intravesical BCG immunotherapy to elucidate the epidemiology, risk factors, and outcomes of BCG infections.

Despite a high annual HIV incidence, extant literature has found BMSM to engage in fewer sexual risk behaviors than White and Hispanic/Latino men who have sex with men, resulting in a gap between risk behaviors and the inequity of HIV infection. Structural factors, such as racism and homophobia, are thus being examined in order to understand this disconnect between behavior and HIV incidence.

In fact, there is an emerging body of literature, including systematic reviews, which describe the negative health consequences of systemic racism among racial/ethnic minoritized groups in the US. Less is known, however, about effective intervention strategies to address systemic racism and the resulting health inequities.

Purpose: This scoping review explored the literature on use of AI by applicants applying to health professions programs and by admission reviewers.
Background: Medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) are a crucial intervention for pregnant and postpartum individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). However, there is paucity of data on the factors associated with MOUD treatment success in this population. This scoping review aimed to evaluate factors associated with MOUD success during the pregnancy and postpartum period.

We aimed to summarize the existing literature evaluating the impact of language discordance among healthcare professionals and families within pediatric oncology by conducting a systematic review. Of 8364 studies, 43 studies met eligibility for inclusion in this review.

Methods: We conducted a systematic search using MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane, Web of Science, and ClinicalTrials.gov databases from inception to May 8, 2024 to identify studies reporting on treatment and outcomes of non-myoinvasive high-grade endometrial cancer.

Background: Current treatment for localized scleroderma (LS) has been shown to halt disease activity, but little is still known about patient experiences with these treatments, nor is there consensus about optimal measurement strategies for future clinical trials.
Objective: Conduct a scoping review of the literature for the types of outcomes and measures (i.e.
•Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) may relapse after surgery.•In a systematic review, we assessed preoperative TTP prophylaxis.•Pre-emptive ADAMTS-13 activity measurement prior to surgery may improve relapse risk.

PRISMA 2020 was used to report a meta-synthesis of the stigma experiences of MLWH in SSA. With the help of an expert librarian, a search of six databases was formulated and performed to examine the available qualitative and mixed method studies with qualitative results relevant to the research question.

To improve our understanding of the extent of deficits in psychological readiness, a systematic review is necessary.
Objective: To investigate psychological readiness (measured via the Anterior Cruciate Ligament-Return to Sport after Injury scale (ACL-RSI)) over time after ACL tear and understand if time between injury and surgery, age, and sex are associated with ACL-RSI scores.
Background: While the number of reviews of nursing education research has increased over the years, bibliometric studies about these reviews are limited.
Objectives: The purposes were to: (1) examine the number of reviews of nursing education research published from 2018 through 2022, (2) identify journals publishing these reviews, (3) identify the types and topics of reviews in nursing education, and (4) analyze how these reviews are labeled (standard versus nonstandard).
Design: This was a bibliometric study of reviews in nursing education.
Purpose: Fatigue is the most distressing symptom for individuals with cancer. While numerous studies have investigated biological pathways that could underlie the mechanism of fatigue, the cause of fatigue remains unclear. This review aimed to investigate the association between gut microbial composition and fatigue in individuals with cancer.

Systematic review publications have increased from a sporadic few in 1980s to more than 10,000 systematic reviews published every year and around 30,000 registered in prospective registries.
Methods: A cross-sectional design and a variety of data sources were triangulated to identify the journals from which systematic reviews would be evaluated for adherence to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 reporting guidelines and scope.
Background: Equitable representation of members from historically marginalized groups is important in clinical trials, which inform standards of care. The goal of this study was to characterize the demographics and proportional subgroup reporting and representation of participants enrolled in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of antibacterials used to treat Staphylococcus aureus infections.
Methods: We examined randomized controlled registrational and strategy trials published from 2000 to 2021 to determine the sex, race, and ethnicity of participants.
Background And Purpose: The DWI-FLAIR mismatch is used to determine thrombolytic eligibility in patients with acute ischemic stroke when the time since stroke onset is unknown. Commercial software packages have been developed for automated DWI-FLAIR classification. We aimed to use e-Stroke software for automated classification of the DWI-FLAIR mismatch in a cohort of patients with acute ischemic stroke and in a comparative analysis with 2 expert neuroradiologists.

There is evidence that caregivers are at greater risk for experiencing deteriorations in cognitive status than non-caregivers, especially memory; however, we have a limited understanding of factors that are related to changes in caregiver memory. This scoping review intends to comprehensively map factors related to caregiver memory reported in the literature within the chronic caregiving context.

Methods: Patients undergoing excisional biopsy of solitary fibrous tumor, schwannomas, cavernous venous malformations, or well-circumscribed orbital lymphoma with preoperative MRIs available for review were identified at 3 academic centers in the United States and Australia. An exploratory statistical analysis was performed to identify important radiologic features, which were subsequently included in a random forest model.
