Background: Low miR-31-3p expression was identified as predictive of anti-EGFR efficacy in RAS-wt mCRC. Primary tumor side was also proposed as a predictive factor of anti-EGFR benefit. This retrospective multicentric study evaluated the predictive role of miR-31-3p in right-sided RAS-wt mCRC patients treated with first-line CT+anti-EGFR or CT+bevacizumab (Beva).

However, nature, density and therapeutic impact of FcγRIIIA (CD16) effector cells in tumor remain poorly documented. Moreover, the inhibition of cetuximab-mediated ADCC induced by NK cells by the engagement of the new inhibitory CD94-NKG2A immune checkpoint has only been demonstrated .

Methods: 82 gastric carcinomas (five papillary, 52 tubular, 19 poorly cohesive and six mixed according to WHO classification) were investigated for E-cadherin distribution (normal: restricted to the membrane; abnormal: absent or cytoplasmic expression), HER1 and HER2 expression using HercepTest and amplification using fluorescent in situ hybridisation. Statistical analysis assessed the association between the markers and their correlation with clinicopathological parameters and follow-up information.
IDH1/2 mutations and 1p/19q codeletion occur frequently in anaplastic gliomas and are prognostic factors. We combined these two biomarkers to stratify patients treated for anaplastic oligodendroglioma (AO). 43 consecutive WHO AO were selected.

Our aim was fourfold: 1) determine whether Hath1 is able to alter the phenotype of colon cancer cells that are committed to a differentiated phenotype, 2) determine whether the Hath1-dependent alteration of differentiation is coupled to a restriction of anchorage-dependent growth, 3) decipher the respective roles of three putative tumor suppressor genes Hath1, MUC2 and P27kip1 in this coupling and, 4) examine how our findings translate to primary tumors. Human colon carcinoma cell lines that differentiate along a mucin secreting (MUC2/MUC5AC) and/or enterocytic (DPPIV) lineages were maintained on inserts with or without a γ-secretase inhibitor (DBZ).

Introduction: Acinic cell carcinoma is a rare form (2-4%) of parotid tumor. It is, however, the most frequent form of bilateral parotid tumor and the second most frequent form in children.
Case Report: A 22-year-old man had several years' history of left parotid tumor, discovered to be acinic cell carcinoma.
Previous studies have identified mutations of the isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) gene in more than 70% of World Health Organization (WHO) grade II and III gliomas. The most frequent mutation leads to a specific amino acid change from arginine to histidine at codon 132 (c.395G>A, p.

We report on a patient suffering from cystic fibrosis who developed disseminated fungal infection due to a rare Scopulariopsis species, Microascus cirrosus, after heart and lung transplantation. Despite antifungal combination therapy with voriconazole and caspofungin, the patient died 4 weeks after transplantation.

The aim of this study was to validate UBE2C protein as a prognostic marker in N+ breast cancer by immunohistochemistry (IHC).
Methods: To this end, 92 paraffin-embedded blocks were used.
Introduction: Parasitic infection can present with many different clinical manifestations.
Exegesis: A 77 year-old Russian woman, who's been living in France since 50 years was admitted for polyarthritis, myalgia, fever, abdominal pain, and eosinophilia simulating polyarterisis nodosa. Before admission, she was treated by steroids for polymyalgia rheumatica.
Material: 4 corpses (1 fresh, 3 formoled) without preliminary injection; age: 84 to 90.
Method: a front access enabled us to show the origin of the inferior rectal nerve from the pudendal plexus, its course across the Alcook canal and the ischiorectal fossa. Then a posterior transgluteal access showed the short intragluteal course across the "biligamentary tunnel" (between sacrospinal and sacrotuberal ligaments) of nerves and vessels related to the anus, in particular the inconstant Morestin's nerve.
