Background: Inconsistencies in the workup of labral tears in the hip have been shown to result in a delay in treatment and an increased cost to the medical system.
Purpose: To establish consensus statements among Canadian nonoperative/operative sports medicine physicians via a modified Delphi process on the diagnosis, nonoperative and operative management, and rehabilitation and return to play (RTP) of those with labral tears in the hip.

The objective was to determine whether incorporating the Human Factors Analysis and Classification System could lead to a perceived increase in the overall quality of morbidity and mortality presentations through the standardization of classifying cause factors of medical errors.
Methods: This study involved eight emergency medicine residents who applied the adapted Human Factors Analysis and Classification System framework to their morbidity and mortality case presentations over 6 months.

H3K27M inhibits the deposition of the histone mark H3K27me3, which affects the maintenance of transcriptional programs and cell identity. Cells expressing H3K27M are also characterized by defects in genome integrity, but the mechanisms linking expression of the oncohistone to DNA damage remain mostly unknown.

The purpose of this study was to identify factors that impact sleep quality in this group including clinical disease activity, depression, anxiety, quality of life, and disordered social media use through questionnaires.
Methods: This prospective study analyzed sleep quality in adolescent patients ages 13 to 18 with a diagnosis of IBD using objective data from wrist actigraphy and subjective report from the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI).
Fragmentation/loss of the structural protein elastin represents the precipitating event translating to aortic expansion and subsequent aneurysm formation. The present study tested the hypothesis that greater protein expression of tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) and neointimal growth secondary to a reduction of medial elastin content represent sex-dependent events limiting aortic vessel expansion in females. TIMP-1 protein levels were higher in the ascending aorta of female versus male patients diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve (BAV).
