Human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated multiphenotypic sinonasal carcinoma is a rare and recently described epithelial neoplasm exhibiting myoepithelial differentiation and morphological overlap with salivary gland neoplasms, especially adenoid cystic carcinoma; it is commonly associated with HPV, especially type 33. It has mainly been reported in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses with a single case reported in the breast. Herein, we report the first vulval example in a 47-year-old patient who presented with a large craggy mass in the region of the Bartholin gland.

Purpose: Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) is a lethal disease that imposes a major burden on patients and healthcare systems. Three structured literature reviews (treatment guidelines, treatment landscape, and human/clinical/patient burden) and one systematic literature review (economic burden) were conducted to better understand the disease burden and unmet needs for patients with late-stage mCRPC, for whom optimal treatment options are unclear.

Methods: Embase, MEDLINE, MEDLINE In-Process, the CENTRAL database (structured and systematic reviews), and the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination database (systematic review only) were searched for English-language records from 2009 to 2021 to identify mCRPC treatment guidelines and studies related to the treatment landscape and the humanistic/economic burden of mCRPC in adult men (aged ≥18 years) of any ethnicity.

Lu-prostate-specific membrane antigen-617 (Lu-PSMA-617) is an effective therapy for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), with evidence of improved survival over standard care. The VISION trial inclusion criteria required a metastatic lesion-to-liver ratio of greater than 1 on Ga-PSMA-11 PET scans. We aimed to determine whether an equivalent ratio is suitable for a SPECT tracer, Tc-MIP-1404, and to compare lesion and lesion-to-normal-organ ratios between the 2 radiotracers.

Aims: Real-world evidence of radium 223 (Ra-223) for the treatment of men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer is emerging. In this prospective single-centre service evaluation, we report for the first time in the UK, real-world quality of life (QoL) and survival outcomes, including the sequencing impact, in 228 treated patients. We aim to share our 5-year experience on how to optimise Ra-223 treatment.

Article Synopsis
  • The case discusses a patient with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer who developed Clostridium septicum myonecrosis while undergoing palliative chemotherapy.
  • This condition is a rare but significant possibility to consider when cancer patients experience sudden acute pain.
  • Quick diagnosis and treatment are crucial, as the condition can lead to rapid decline and may be fatal without aggressive intervention.
