Objective: To evaluate the effects of behavioral health interventions delivered within pediatric integrated primary care models on clinical outcomes.

Methods: We searched Medline, EMBASE, CENTRAL, PsycINFO, and SCOPUS for studies published from January 1, 1998, to September 20, 2023. We included studies that evaluated onsite behavioral health integration in pediatric primary care using a comparator condition (usual, enhanced usual care, or waitlist).

Caregiver self-efficacy providing nutritional support for pediatric patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant is associated with psychosocial factors.

Introduction: Caregiver self-efficacy in providing nutritional support to pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) patients has been little studied despite the increased risk of these children potentially being over- or under-nourished after HSCT, and nutritional status could possibly affect treatment outcomes. The current study aimed to describe caregiver dietary self-efficacy and its associated psychosocial factors and barriers to following dietary recommendations.

Methods: Caregivers completed questionnaires pre-HSCT and 30 days, 100 days, and one year post-HSCT.

Real-World Depression Screening Practices Among Primary Care Providers Across Patient-Level and Provider-Level Characteristics.

This study examined primary care provider (PCP) alignment with guideline-based care for adolescent depression screening and identified factors associated with post-screening responses. A retrospective chart review was conducted across 17 primary care clinics. Logistical regressions were estimated across provider specialties, sociodemographic factors, and patient clinical histories.

The Use of Electronic Health Record Tools to Improve Evidence-Based Treatment of Adolescent Depression in Primary Care.

Objective: The aim of the current study was to evaluate primary care pediatrician (PCP) adoption of an electronic health record (EHR) documentation tool and their delivery of a behavioral activation (BA) intervention within their routine practice with adolescents who screened positive for depression.

Methods: We used the RE-AIM framework to describe PCP adoption and implementation of EHR documentation tools and brief evidence-based protocols. Utilization was assessed using a customized toolbar (ie, actions toolbar) via retrospective chart review.

Health Information Technology Utilization by Adolescent and Young Adult Aged Inpatients Undergoing Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation.

This longitudinal study examined feasibility of "Roadmap 1.0," a modular health information application integrated with the electronic medical record, provided to 30 adolescent and young adult (AYA) inpatients 11-24 years of age undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Feasibility was demonstrated: 70% accessed the application.

The Association Between Burnout and Pediatrician Management of Adolescent Depression.

Given the increased demand for pediatric primary care providers to manage adolescent depression, the current study examines the association between burnout and provider comfort and perception of feasibility managing adolescent depression. Data were collected from 52 pediatricians at a Midwest academic health center. Higher scores on depersonalization were associated with lower provider-reported comfort managing adolescent depression.

Cognitive complaints by hematopoietic cell transplantation recipients and change in neuropsychological performance over time.

Purpose: Hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipients are at risk for cognitive decline. Cross-sectional studies show patients' complaints of cognitive decline do not correlate well with concurrently measured objective neuropsychological performance, but rather with emotional variables and health-related quality of life. This longitudinal study investigated whether patient self-report of cognitive status would be concordant with objectively measured neuropsychological performance after accounting for change from their own pre-transplant objective baseline.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether patients who underwent bariatric surgery recalled receiving education about alcohol prior to having surgery and to investigate their alcohol use patterns. Cognitive Function and Quality of Life in Vorinostat-Treated Patients after Matched Unrelated Donor Myeloablative Conditioning Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation.
