Purpose: To identify arthroscopic rotator cuff repair study groups and evaluate if study design or other study characteristics correlate with a repeat ipsilateral shoulder surgery.
Methods: A systematic search of the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases was conducted on March 20, 2021, and April 2, 2021. The following search terms were used by 2 different researchers: ((Rotator cuff repair[Title/Abstract]) AND (Revision[Title/Abstract]) NOT (Systematic Review[Title/Abstract]) NOT (arthroplasty[Title/Abstract]).
Lineage-specific transcription factors operate as master orchestrators of developmental processes by activating select cis-regulatory enhancers and proximal promoters. Direct DNA binding of transcription factors ultimately drives context-specific recruitment of the basal transcriptional machinery that comprises RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) and a host of polymerase-associated multiprotein complexes, including the metazoan-specific Integrator complex. Integrator is primarily known to modulate RNAPII processivity and to surveil RNA integrity across coding genes.

We describe the incorporation of comadronas (traditional midwives) into casas maternas (birthing centers) in the rural highlands of western Guatemala. Although there was initial resistance to the casa, comadronas and clients have become increasingly enthusiastic about them.

Here, we utilized stochastic simulations to investigate the best strategies for optimize a sweet corn breeding program. We assessed the effects of incorporating varying proportions of old and new parents into the crossing block (3:1, 1:1, 1:3, and 0:1 ratio, representing different degrees of parental substitution), as well as the implementation of genomic selection in two distinct pipelines: one calibrated using the phenotypes of testcross parents (GSTC scenario) and another using F1 individuals (GSF1).

For this reason, genomic selection models can help the prediction of hybrid crosses from the elite lines, which is hypothesized to improve the test cross scheme, leading to higher genetic gain in a breeding program. This study aimed to explore the potential of implementing genomic selection in a sweet corn breeding program through hybrid prediction in a within-site across-year and across-site framework.

Passive radiative cooling materials, which provide cooling without consuming electricity, are widely recognized as an important technology for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and delivering thermal comfort to less industrialized communities. Optimizing thermal and optical properties is of primary importance for these materials, but for real-world utilization, ease of application and scalability also require significant emphasis. In this work, we embed the biomaterial hydroxyapatite, in the form of nanoscale fibers, within an oil-based medium to achieve passive cooling from an easy-to-apply paint-like solution.

Methods: This retrospective study included 545 patients with severe anorexia nervosa (AN) or avoidant restrictive food intake disorder hospitalized in a medical stabilization unit between 2018 and 2021. Biometrics were obtained throughout hospitalization.
A module to explore perspectives on chaplaincy services was included in an online enterprise survey randomly distributed to members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) during 2021. Up to eight questions were answered by 2783 active military personnel relating to their perception of chaplain activities and the impact of chaplaincy services. Of those military participants answering the question on religious status (n = 1116), a total of 71.

However, to date, most studies have focused on exploring, defining, measuring and analysing empathy and compassion from the perspective of researchers or clinicians. There has been limited attention to the perspectives of patients.

In this Letter, we place emphasis on hitherto unobserved states below the first 1^{+} level, which are important in the context of solar neutrino and fermionic dark matter (FDM) detection in large-scale xenon-based experiments.

Despite decades of research, a molecular-level understanding of the general principles that govern the myriad pharmacological effects exerted by GPCR allosteric modulators remains limited. The M muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (M mAChR) is a validated and clinically relevant allosteric drug target for several major psychiatric and cognitive disorders.

Asthma is a heterogeneous chronic airway disease with an unmet need for improved therapeutics in uncontrolled severe disease. The calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) is a G protein-coupled receptor upregulated in asthma. The CaSR agonist, spermine, is also increased in asthmatic airways and contributes to bronchoconstriction.

By exploiting γ-γ angular correlation analysis, the 2_{2}^{+}, 3_{1}^{+}, 0_{2}^{+}, and 2_{3}^{+} states in ^{74}Zn were firmly established. The γ-ray branching and E2/M1 mixing ratios for transitions deexciting the 2_{2}^{+}, 3_{1}^{+}, and 2_{3}^{+} states were measured, allowing for the extraction of relative B(E2) values.

The Project utilized three participatory approaches in tandem: the Census-Based, Impact-Oriented (CBIO) Approach, the Care Group Approach, and the Community Birthing Center Approach. Together, these are referred to as the Expanded CBIO Approach (or CBIO+).

This is the second paper in a supplement of 10 articles describing the implementation research and its findings. Paper 1 describes CBIO+ , the Project Area, and how the Project was implemented.

Many interventions to increase cervical cancer screening have been implemented, but there is limited understanding about which intervention components are most successful.
Methods: We conducted a scoping review of existing literature and available resources for cervical cancer screening interventions to identify gaps in the research.
The calcium-sensing receptor is a homodimeric class C G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that senses extracellular Ca (Ca ) via a dimeric extracellular Venus flytrap (VFT) unit that activates G protein-dependent signaling via twin Cysteine-rich domains linked to transmembrane heptahelical (HH) bundles. It plays a key role in the regulation of human calcium and thus mineral metabolism. However, the nature of interactions between VFT units and HH bundles, and the impacts of heterozygous or homozygous inactivating mutations, which have implications for disorders of calcium metabolism are not yet clearly defined.

In this Letter, we present the most precise measurement of tensor currents in the low-energy regime by examining the β-ν[over ¯] correlation of trapped ^{8}Li ions with the Beta-decay Paul Trap. We find a_{βν}=-0.

In addition to AMU, the role of farm management is an area of growing interest and represents an alternative route for possible interventions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of farm management practices and AMU on resistances of sentinel bacteria in bulk milk.
