The increasing proximity between protected areas (PAs) and urban areas, which can lead to urban protected areas (UPAs), is now commonplace. Use of Euclidean distance to measure the distance between PAs and cities has not correctly portrayed the spatial relationship between PAs and cities. We devised an isochronous circle model to accurately measure the distance between 2706 national PAs in 5 categories and 2844 cities in China based on human accessibility to identify urban human activity-influenced protected areas (UHAIPAs) and to quantitatively analyze their distribution patterns and relationships with China's economy, population distribution patterns, and urban development indicators.

Nitrogen and phosphorus contamination in wastewater is a serious environmental concern and poses a global threat to sustainable development. In this paper, a comprehensive review of the studies on simultaneous nitrogen and phosphorus removal (SNPR) during 1986-2022 (538 publications) was conducted using bibliometrics, which showed that simultaneous nitrification, denitrification, and phosphorus removal (SNDPR) is the most promising process. This study aimed to prepare microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) films with good mechanical properties plasticization using a Chinese leek (CL, ) extract. The microstructure, crystal structure, mechanical properties, barrier ability, and thermal properties of the films were investigated. The chemical structure analysis of CL extract showed the existence of cellulose, lignin, and low-molecular-weight substances, such as polysaccharides, pectins, and waxes, which could act as plasticizers to enhance the properties of MCC:CL biocomposite films.

Inspired by the interfacial catalysis of lipase, Herein, the hydrophobic ZIF-L coated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) were prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and used to immobilize lipase from Aspergillus oryzae (AOL) for biodiesel production. The results showed that the PDMS coating enhanced the stability of ZIF-8 and ZIF-L in PBS. Immobilization efficiency of AOL on PDMS-modified ZIF-L was 96% under optimized conditions.
