Adenomyosis involves the infiltration of endometrial glands and stroma deep into the uterine tissue, causing disruption to the endometrial-myometrial interface (EMI). The role of interleukin-17 (IL-17) has been extensively studied in endometriosis, but its involvement in adenomyosis remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the expression of IL-17 in eutopic and ectopic endometrium (adenomyosis) of individuals with adenomyosis at the level of EMI.

A case study of transneovaginal oocyte retrieval after novel Lee's neovaginoplasty in Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome.

Objective: Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome is a rare congenital disorder that results in vaginal agenesis. Lee's neovaginoplasty is a novel surgery for reconstructing the vagina. Transneovaginal oocyte retrieval completely changes the scope of fertility for patients with MRKH syndrome who have undergone neovaginal reconstruction.

Globally, obesity is a major health problem and can markedly increase the risk of various diseases, including type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension (HTN), dyslipidemia, and chronic kidney disease (CKD). The association of obesity-related parameters, such as lipid parameters and their ratio, with CKD in clinical settings is not well understood. This study aimed to investigate the association of obesity-related parameters with CKD in the middle-aged and elderly population in Taiwan.

Segmented in vitro fertilization and frozen embryo transfer in dienogest-treated patient with adenomyosis: A case report and lierature review.

Objective: To assess the effects of dienogest on segmented in vitro fertilization (IVF) and frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) for a patient with adenomyosis.

Case Report: A 33-year-old female with primary infertility for 3 years had dysmenorrhea and hypermenorrhea. Diagnosis of adenomyosis was made with a sonographic exam and an elevated cancer antigen 125 (CA-125, 310 U/mL).

Gender Differences in the Association Between Obesity Indices and Chronic Kidney Disease Among Middle-Aged and Elderly Taiwanese Population: A Community-Based Cross-Sectional Study.

Background: Traditional risk factors for chronic kidney disease (CKD) include diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension (HTN), and metabolic syndrome, which are health conditions related to obesity. Prediction of Myometrial Invasion in Stage I Endometrial Cancer by MRI: The Influence of Surgical Diagnostic Procedure.

Young women with endometrial cancer (EC) can choose fertility-sparing treatment for stage 1A disease without myometrial invasion (MI). The surgical diagnostic procedure (SDP) may affect the accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to assess MI. Here, we evaluated different SDP and compared the MI on MRI results with further pathologic results after hysterectomy.
