Our study describes the reported rate of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval, declaration of Helsinki (DoH), and informed consent in the case reports and case series and investigates factors associated with the ethical approval report. We searched PubMed for case reports and case series from 2006 to 2017. Annually, we obtained the first 20 articles of a case report cluster from 20 distinct publications.

Fixed-dose combination (FDC) therapy offers a promising approach to addressing this challenge by providing a convenient single-tablet solution that enhances the effectiveness of blood pressure control. In our systematic review, we assess the effectiveness of perindopril/amlodipine FDC in managing blood pressure.

Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®), a dual agonist of glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor, has recently gained FDA approval. Additionally, a literature review was conducted to summarize recent research on tirzepatide's effectiveness and safety.

Misoprostol, a prostaglandin analog, is a safe medication to terminate a pregnancy. However, misoprostol can cause coronary artery vasospasm due to vasoconstrictor properties, leading to acute myocardial infarction with nonobstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA), especially in patients with a high risk for cardiovascular disease.

Many factors impacting the publication of meta-analysis works have been discussed, and their association with publication likelihood has been investigated. These factors include the type of systematic review, journal metrics, h-index of the corresponding author, country of the corresponding author, funding sources, and duration of publication.

Many new drugs having varied targets were discovered to treat this disease, especially type 2 diabetes. Among those, α-glucosidase inhibitors showed their effects by preventing the digestion of carbohydrates through their inhibition against α-amylase and α-glucosidase.

It is characterized by nasal and ophthalmic abnormalities, as well as disturbances in puberty and sexual development. The cardinal sign is arhinia, though some cases have partial aplasia of the external nose.

The aims of our study were to describe the magnetic resonance (MR) characteristics of anterior mediastinal masses and to assess the role of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) value in distinguishing benign from malignant lesions of the anterior mediastinum. We conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study including 55 patients with anterior mediastinal masses who underwent preinterventional MR scanning with the following sequences: T1 VIBE DIXON pre and post-contrast, T2 HASTE, T2 TIRM, DWI-ADC map (b values of 0 and 2000 sec/mm).

Methods: This survey-based study was conducted across 66 countries from May to November 2020 among suspected and confirmed individuals with COVID-19.
Introduction: The use of surgical resection for large anterior skull base (ASB) tumors and sinonasal malignancies with intracranial extension will result in a large skull base defect. Reconstruction of large ASB defects using traditional techniques is high risk and may lead to postoperative cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) leakage, meningitis, and an increase in mortality rate. The use of a pedicled double flap technique to reconstruct the ASB defect may decrease complications.

Methods We conducted a retrospective study of 159 COVID-19 patients who were diagnosed and treated at the University Medical Center between July and September 2021. Chest X-ray findings were evaluated, and severity scores were calculated using the modified CXR (mCXR), Radiographic Assessment of Lung Edema (RALE), and Brixia scoring systems.

In the pediatric population, multisystem inflammatory syndrome can lead to cardiac injury and arrhythmias. In addition, arrhythmias and cardiac arrests are most prevalent in the critically ill intensive care unit COVID-19 patient population.

Background Dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) has become a promising, non-invasive procedure for the visualization, characterization, and quantification of monosodium urate (MSU) crystals, which aids clinicians in the diagnosis of gout. In this study, we aimed to examine the diagnostic accuracy of DECT in the evaluation of gout. Methodology This cross-sectional retrospective study included patients who were clinically diagnosed with gout and underwent a DECT scan.

We performed a comprehensive systematic review of all studies that met our standardised criteria and then extracted data on the age, symptoms, and different treatments of Covid-19 patients and the prognosis of this disease during follow-up. Cases in this study were divided according to severity and death status and meta-analysed separately using raw mean and single proportion methods.
