Community outreach is an important aspect of residency training. Skin cancer screenings, free clinics, and teledermatology are a few ways in which dermatology residents may take leadership roles and get involved in their local communities. These opportunities not only provide invaluable education for residents, they also deliver specialty care to communities that may otherwise encounter considerable difficulty accessing dermatologic care.

Immunoglobulin A (IgA) vasculitis, or Henoch-Schonlein purpura, is the most common systemic vasculitis in children, clinically presenting as palpable purpura in combination with arthritis, gastrointestinal involvement, or kidney injury. Subcutaneous edema is reported in patients with IgA vasculitis, and it commonly affects the lower extremities, especially around joints. Here, we report a case of IgA vasculitis with a rare presentation of edema isolated to the periorbital area in a 7-year-old boy, who subsequently developed crescentic glomerulonephritis with nephrotic range proteinuria.

Bone is the most common site of distant metastatic spread in prostate adenocarcinoma. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) uptake has been described in both benign and malignant bone lesions, which can lead to false-positive findings on Ga-PSMA-11 PET. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of Ga-PSMA-11 PET for osseous prostate cancer metastases and improve bone uptake interpretation using semiquantitative metrics.

Objectives: To investigate the diagnostic accuracy and interobserver agreement among sonologists when assessing offline ultrasound (US) video sets of the "sliding sign" and among gynecologic surgeons when assessing corresponding laparoscopic video sets to predict pouch of Douglas (POD) obliteration and to compare the performance of the groups.

Methods: A diagnostic and reproducibility study was conducted, including 15 observers in 4 groups: (1) senior sonologists, (2) junior sonologists, (3) general gynecologists, and (4) advanced laparoscopists. The sonologists viewed 25 offline preoperative US video sets of the sliding sign, and the surgeons viewed the corresponding intraoperative laparoscopic videos of the same patients.

A series of N/TiO2 were prepared by sol gel method, which was acted as photocatalysts. These photocatalysts were characterized by Transmission Electronic Microscopy (TEM), Reflective UV-Visible spectra and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The photocatalysts were applied for hydrogen gas generation from the water splitting reaction under visible light.
