Since the era of the widespread introduction of antibiotics into the human sphere of activity, the problem of antimicrobial resistance has become an urgent and very important topic around the world. Recently, coagulasonegative staphylococci (CoNS), which are representatives of opportunistic microorganisms of the microbiome of the skin and mucous membranes of healthy people, have made a certain contribution to its progression. For a long time, they did not pose a threat to patients, but in recent decades among microorganisms they have been seeded in more than two-thirds of patients with postoperative mediastinitis, catheter-associated infections, as well as from wounds of the neck vessels and the inguinal region separated by pacemaker beds.

The genome of hibiscus green spot virus contains a module of two MP genes termed 'binary movement block' (BMB), encoding the proteins BMB1 and BMB2. Here, BMB1 is shown to induce a defense response in plants that inhibits BMB-dependent virus transport.

Attempts have been made to comprehensively consider the processes of salt stress in plants (variety Orenburgskaya 22) and (variety Zolotaya).
Methods: The study used methods of light and fluorescence microscopy, methods of immunofluorodetection, expression of DNA methyltransferase genes, genes of the ion transporter and superoxide dismutase families, as well as biochemical determination of total antioxidant activity using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) reagent.
Hypoxia is one of the common abiotic stresses that negatively affects the development and productivity of agricultural crops. Quercetin is used to protect plants from oxidative stress when exposed to environmental stressors. O deficiency leads to impaired development and morphometric parameters in wheat varieties Orenburgskaya 22 ( L.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOptical clearing agents (OCAs) are substances that temporarily modify tissue's optical properties, enabling better imaging and light penetration. This study aimed to assess the impact of OCAs on the nail bed and blood using in vivo and in vitro optical methods. In the in vivo part, OCAs were applied to the nail bed, and optical coherence tomography and optical digital capillaroscopy were used to evaluate their effects on optical clearing and capillary blood flow, respectively.

Plants have a powerful antioxidant system (AOS), which allows them to neutralize excess ROS. We detected an intense fluorescent glow of ROS in the cells of the cap, meristem, and elongation zones in the roots of wheat (Orenburgskaya 22 variety) and (Zolotaya variety).

Healthy diets and special foods meet the criteria based on the protein digestibility-corrected amino acid score, while other factors affecting the digestibility and actual biological value of the protein are not considered. Express biological evaluation tests are very important for choosing the optimal formulation and efficient manufacturing process in order to maximize the biological value (BV).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA distinctive feature of this review is a critical analysis of methods and results of measurements of the optical properties of tissues in a wide spectral range from deep UV to terahertz waves. Much attention is paid to measurements of the refractive index of biological tissues and liquids, the knowledge of which is necessary for the effective application of many methods of optical imaging and diagnostics. The optical parameters of healthy and pathological tissues are presented, and the reasons for their differences are discussed, which is important for the discrimination of pathologies and the demarcation of their boundaries.

The MPs functions involve the increase of the PD permeability and routing of viral genome both to the PD entrance and through the modified PD. encodes two MPs, termed BMB1 and BMB2, which act in concert to accomplish virus cell-to-cell transport.

The COVID-19 pandemic has spread rapidly around the world; some countries have introduced controls on imported products, including testing for viral nucleic acids. In this work, the influence of disinfectants for treating various SARS-CoV-2-contaminated surfaces on the detection of viral RNA fragments in swabs from these surfaces was analyzed using quantitative RT-PCR. Quaternary ammonium salt, hydrogen peroxide, 1-propanol, and sodium salt of dichloroisocyanuric acid, as well as ultraviolet irradiation, were tested as such disinfecting agents.

The importance of cell function in the antipodal complex is evidenced by the fact that it is fully formed before double fertilization, past the stages of proliferation of three initial cells, and several rounds of genome endoreduplication during differentiation. In this study, we showed that the actively synthesizing organelles, the granular reticulum, and Golgi apparatus, alter their structure during differentiation and death.

This is of great importance for monitoring of viral infection impact on the alveolar structure of the tissue and oxygen transport. Optical clearing agents (OCAs) can provide not only lesser light scattering of tissue components but also may influence the molecular transport function of the alveolar membrane.

MPs target PD to increase their size exclusion limit (SEL), and this MP function is essential for virus intercellular trafficking. In this chapter, we describe the use of a Potato virus X genome-derived reporter for agroinfiltration-based identification of virus genome-encoded MPs and analysis of the ability of individual viral MPs or plant proteins to increase the PD SEL.
