Background: The integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) concepts throughout the curriculum is imperative to the preparation of advanced-practice nurses to deliver person-centered care. This article describes the design and evaluation of one institution's faculty-developed DEI competencies for graduate nursing students.
Method: A task force of faculty and content experts utilized a modified Delphi approach in the development of DEI-focused competencies related to advanced-level nursing education.
Background: For the last 17 years, the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) prelicensure competencies and knowledge, skill, and attitude (KSA) statements were integrated into nursing curricula.
Problem: With the publication of the competency-based American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essentials , it is important to determine the overlap of the QSEN competencies.
Approach: We developed a QSEN-AACN prelicensure crosswalk to help faculty map and integrate the 2021 AACN Essentials into their curriculum.
Introduction: The purpose of this descriptive study is to examine a learning health system (LHS) continuous improvement and learning approach as a case for increased quality, standardized processes, redesigned workflows, and better resource utilization. Hospital acquired pressure injuries (HAPI) commonly occur in the hospitalized patient and are costly and preventable. It mimics a myocardial infarction and psychological factors have been implicated in its etiology as well as being consequences of its presentation. As part of a public engagement project we brought together 8 women (of 12 invited) previously diagnosed with TCM to facilitate a discussion, through participation in a creative workshop-based process, about their illness experience, how they made sense of it, and the meaning it had for them in their lives, and to identify areas of unmet need.

Methods: Artist-led workshops with a range of audiences (cardiac patients, medical staff, medical students, creative professionals, and patient relatives) led to explore narratives and imagery that, in turn, was re-presented in artworks exploring the complexity of the cardiovascular system.
Results: While positioning themselves in a long tradition of artistic representations of the heart, often purely anatomical or autobiographical, these artworks stem from a process of patient involvement and participation.
