Following the global progressive deployment of 5G networks, considerable attention has focused on assessing their potential impact on human health. This study aims to investigate autonomous nervous system changes by exploring skin temperature and electrodermal activity (EDA) among 44 healthy young individuals of both sexes during and after exposure to 3.5 GHz antenna-emitted signals, with an electrical field intensity ranging from 1 to 2 V/m.

Following the recent deployment of fifth-generation (5G) radio frequencies, several questions about their health impacts have been raised. Due to the lack of experimental research on this subject, the current study aimed to investigate the bio-physiological effects of a generated 3.5 GHz frequency.

Article Synopsis
  • T-cell and B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias (T-ALL, B-ALL) are aggressive cancers caused by the buildup of immature T or B cells, and current treatments still need improvement for high-risk patients.
  • Research shows that ALL cells are sensitive to NVP-BEP800, a drug that inhibits Heat shock protein 90 (HSP90), which helps maintain the stability of certain proteins crucial for cancer cell survival.
  • In experiments with patient-derived models, treatment with NVP-BEP800 slowed down ALL progression, suggesting that targeting the relationship between HSP90 and specific kinases could lead to better therapies for leukemia.

Mammalian protein -glycosylation requires the transfer of an oligosaccharide containing 2 residues of N-acetylglucosamine, 9 residues of mannose and 3 residues of glucose (GlcMan GlcNAc) from GlcManGlcNAc-diphospho (PP)-dolichol (DLO) onto proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Under some pathophysiological conditions, DLO biosynthesis is perturbed, and truncated DLO is hydrolyzed to yield oligosaccharyl phosphates (OSP) via unidentified mechanisms. DLO diphosphatase activity (DLODP) was described in vitro, but its characterization is hampered by a lack of convenient non-radioactive substrates.
