Maternal Autonomy Support in a Randomized Controlled Trial of the Reminiscing and Emotion Training Intervention.

Objective: The Reminiscing and Emotion Training (RET) intervention targets and improves maltreating mothers' elaboration and sensitivity in reminiscing (conversations about past emotional events), as well as children's emotion knowledge. However, in previous studies of RET, improvements in mothers' elaborative and sensitive reminiscing did not explain improvements in children's emotion knowledge. Thus, we evaluated whether RET is associated with improved maternal autonomy support during reminiscing and whether improved autonomy support is associated with enhanced child emotion knowledge after RET.

Myeloma bone disease (MBD) affects ~90% of multiple myeloma patients, but current treatment options are suboptimal. Objective: To explore racially minoritized families' perceptions on how, and if, physicians should address children's racial identity and concepts of racism within clinical settings.

Study Design: Parents of racially minoritized children, ages 5 through 18, were interviewed to explore experiences with racial identity formation, discrimination, and the extent to which they wanted pediatricians to address these topics. Children were included at the discretion of their parents.

Given the scarcity of donor organs, all attempts are made to preserve the graft. Currently there is no standard surgical technique for reconstruction or repair of isolated renal pelvic necrosis.

Economic segregation is the geographical separation of people with different economic means. In this paper, we employ an archival study of attitudes in regions with varying degrees of economic segregation and a series of experimental studies measuring reactions to hypothetical levels of segregation to examine how segregation affects concerns about inequality. Combining correlational and experimental methods and examining attitudes about economic inequality in both the United States and South Africa, we show that when individuals of different means are segregated from each other, people are less likely to engage in economic comparisons and are therefore less concerned by inequality.

Background: The primary objective is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Stryker second generation Target Nano Coils in the treatment of ruptured and unruptured small (<7 mm) intracranial aneurysms.

Methods: The TARGET Registry is a prospective, two-arm study with independent medical event monitoring and core-lab adjudication. This paper describes the second arm of the TARGET registry.

Analyzing nursing students' mental health profiles at the onset of COVID-19.

The purpose of this descriptive-exploratory study was to identify profiles of mental health among undergraduate nursing students to understand the relationship between student's mental health profiles and relevant risk and protective factors at the onset of COVID-19. Latent Class Analysis (LCA) was employed to cull these students' mental health profiles (yielding 3 profiles) using data collected from 277 participants enrolled in a four-year BSN Program at a large, public institution in the Southeastern United States. Relational analyses of these profiles indicated that students who were the most vulnerable for mental health challenges also had the highest resilience and coping scores.

Association of Fructosamine Levels With Glycemic Management in Children With Type 1 Diabetes as Determined by Continuous Glucose Monitoring: Results From the CGM TIME Trial.

Objective: Our aim in this study was to determine the correlation between serum fructosamine and average blood glucose, as measured by continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in children with type 1 diabetes.

Methods: Ninety-seven blood samples were collected from 70 participants in the Timing of Initiation of continuous glucose Monitoring in Established pediatric diabetes (CGM TIME) Trial. Each eligible participant had 3 weeks of CGM data with at least 60% CGM adherence before blood collection.
