Dengue fever poses a significant public health burden in tropical regions, including Thailand, where periodic epidemics strain healthcare resources. Effective disease surveillance is essential for timely intervention and resource allocation. Various methods exist for spatiotemporal cluster detection, but their comparative performance remains unclear.

Higher myocardial T2, higher extracellular volume fraction (ECV), and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) have been associated with adverse clinical outcomes in adult heart transplant recipients. This study's purpose was to investigate the prognostic value of CMR-derived T1- and T2-mapping, ECV, and LGE for clinical outcomes in PHTR.

The men are suspected kinsmen of the colony's first Governor, Thomas West, 3 Baron De La Warr based on archaeological, osteological, and documentary evidence. Genomic analyses of these men, Sir Ferdinando Wenman and Captain William West, identify a shared mitochondrial haplogroup, H10e, inferring maternal relatedness.

An important aspect of school-based consultation and coaching is ensuring teachers generalize their use of evidence-based practices that were trained through consultation. However, the extent to which teachers generalize practices trained through consultation or coaching is somewhat unclear.

However, genetic variation in the organellar genomes (plasmotypes) is often disregarded due to the difficulty of studying the plasmotypes and the lack of evidence that this is a worthwhile investment. Here, we systematically phenotyped plasmotype diversity using as a model species.

In this study, we examined available mortality counts and associated case counts, with a focus on the estimation missing information related to age distributions. In this paper, we explored a model-based paradigm for generating age distributions of mortality counts in a spatio-temporal context.

Method: A query of the medical records at multiple North American children's hospitals was done using ICD codes related to Turner Syndrome. A retrospective chart review was conducted on those patients between ages 0 to 30 years with Y-mosaicism.
Objective: The study's primary objective was to compare the effectiveness of intra-articular platelet-rich plasma injections versus corticosteroid injections for the treatment of cervical facetogenic pain. Secondary aims were to compare self-rated disability, pain self-efficacy, and the safety of the procedure between groups.
Methods: A single-site randomized double-blind controlled trial with 40 participants assigned to receive either leucocyte-poor, low-concentrate platelet-rich plasma injections or corticosteroid injection without local anesthetic into the cervical facet joint under fluoroscopy.
This paper investigates the link between gaps in emergency responders' notions of mental model regarding radiation and risk and their effectiveness in responding to radiological incidents. Particularly, this work focused on exploring themes that emerged in prior work related to improper understanding and application of knowledge concepts related to radiation risks and Radiological Dispersal Device (RDD) scenarios (Leek et al., 2024b).

Alongside its clinical uses, there has been expanding interest in extended normothermic machine perfusion (eNMP) of livers as a potential vehicle for medical research. Reproducible extended normothermic machine perfusion has remained elusive due to its increased complexity and monitoring requirements.

Poor dietary quality also disproportionately affects Black populations, but its association with ovarian cancer survival in this population remains largely unknown.
Objective: To examine associations between dietary patterns and survival among Black women diagnosed with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC).
Background: Mediation by multiple agents can affect the relation between neighborhood deprivation and segregation indices and ovarian cancer survival. In this paper, we examine a variety of potential clinical mediators in the association between deprivation indices (DIs) and segregation indices (SIs) with all-cause survival among women with ovarian cancer in the African American Cancer Epidemiology Study (AACES).
Methods: We use novel Bayesian multiple mediation structural models to assess the joint role of mediators (stage at diagnosis, histology, diagnostic delay) combined with the DIs and SIs (Yost, ADI, Kolak's URB, ICE-income) and a set of confounders with survival.
The anatomy of the avian lower respiratory system includes a complex interaction between air-filled pulmonary tissues, pulmonary air sacs, and much of the postcranial skeleton. Hypotheses related to the function and phylogenetic provenance of these respiratory structures have been posed based on extensive interspecific descriptions for an array of taxa. By contrast, intraspecific descriptions of anatomical variation for these features are much more limited, particularly for skeletal pneumatization, and are essential to establish a baseline for evaluating interspecific variation.

For this end, Claisen-Schmidt condensation was performed in basic or acidic conditions between the common starting material 3,4,5-trimethoxyacetophenone and appropriate aldehydes; this allowed the recovery of fifteen chalcones in moderate-good yields. The synthesized compounds were screened for their antiproliferative activity against colorectal and prostatic cancer cells, using a colorimetric MTT assay.

Methods: Students viewed a series of four annotated animations on greenhouse gases. During pauses between the animations, students were asked to generate a written summary, to create a drawing, or to do both, whereas a control group viewed the lesson without any generative learning activities.
In Brief: Transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) people have similar desires for parenting as cisgender individuals but are likely to face greater barriers in accessing fertility treatment than their cisgender peers. Mental health professionals are well-positioned to advocate for and support TGD individuals seeking fertility care through pre-fertility treatment implications counseling regarding the psychosocial aspects of fertility treatment and family building.
Abstract: Transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) individuals experience significantly greater all-cause mortality and mental health disparities compared to their cisgender peers.
Objective: Lumbar medial branch (MB) radiofrequency ablation is a common intervention to treat facetogenic low back pain. Consensus among spine pain interventionalists is that the cannula tip should be placed adjacent to the periosteum of the lateral neck of the superior articular process (SAP) to ensure maximum contact with the MB. The spatial relationship of the nerve to the periosteum of the lateral neck of the SAP has not been quantified in 3D.
