Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an antiplatelet-antibody-mediated disorder with accelerated platelet clearance and decreased platelet production. Rozanolixizumab, a monoclonal IgG4 anti-FcRn antibody, blocks IgG recycling and decreases IgG levels. We report efficacy and safety of rozanolixizumab in adults with persistent/chronic ITP in 24-week phase 3 studies (TP0003; TP0006), and their 52-week open-label extension (OLE).

The study of the specimen appearance showed its significant differences from a modern lion cub of similar age (three weeks) in the unusual shape of the muzzle with a large mouth opening and small ears, the very massive neck region, the elongated forelimbs, and the dark coat color. Tomographic analysis of the mummy skull revealed the features characteristic of Machairodontinae and of the genus Homotherium.

The ketogenic diet is used to treat some forms of refractory epilepsy, but the mechanism of its action has not yet been elucidated. In this study, we aimed to investigate whether the hydroxycarboxylic acid receptor 2 (HCA2), a known immunomodulatory receptor, plays a role in mediating the protective effect of this diet.

We analyzed existing differentiation protocols and proposed our own protocol for obtaining hiBCs, which involves step-by-step differentiation of hiPSCs into definitive endoderm, anterior foregut endoderm, NKX2.1+ lung progenitors, and cultivation on basal cell medium with subsequent cell sorting using the surface marker CD271 (NGFR).

With the invention of programmable nucleases, it became possible to treat hereditary diseases due to introducing targeted double strand break in the genome followed by homology directed repair (HDR) or non-homologous end-joining (NHEJ) reparation. CRISPR-Cas9 is more efficient and easier to use in comparison with other programmable nucleases.

Such tissue plasticity relies on the activity of proliferating cells represented primarily by the food-entrapping cells, choanocytes. Although there are plenty of studies regarding the dynamics of regeneration and tissue rearrangement in sponges, cell cycle kinetics of choanocytes in intact tissues remains a controversial issue.

These iPSCs expressed pluripotency markers, had a normal karyotype and the potential to differentiate into three germ layers in spontaneous differentiation assay. The line may be used for cell differentiation and pharmacological investigations, and also may provide a model for development of a personalized treatment including drug screening and genome editing.

Pathogenic variants in the gene can lead to various types of myopathies, which makes it a good object for studying the events occurring in it during genome editing by the CRISPR/Cas method. In this study, we evaluated the possibility of permanent skipping of exons 3-4, and 26-27 which deletion does not violate the reading frame and allows to eliminate truncated variants within exons.

While a theoretical study has predicted that this material is a magnetic Weyl semimetal, SX-ARPES measurements give direct evidence for a semiconducting state in the ferromagnetic phase. Band calculations based on the density functional theory with hybrid functionals reproduce the experimentally determined band gap value, and the calculated band dispersion matches well with ARPES experiments.
