Educational strategies used in master's and doctoral nursing education: A scoping review.

Background: Advanced practice nurses and future nursing researchers must be adequately educated with the best available evidence. However, we know little about educational strategies and their characteristics used explicitly to educate advanced practice nurses and future researchers.

Method: A scoping review was used to map the latest educational strategies used in master's and doctoral nursing education between 2011 and 2021.

Determinants of iron deficiency and anemia among Nunavimmiut: results from the Qanuilirpitaa? 2017 Nunavik Health Survey.

Objective: To estimate the prevalence of iron deficiency (ID) and anemia and study their main distal and proximal protective and risk factors among Nunavimmiut 16 years and older in 2017.

Methods: In a cross-sectional participatory survey of 831 women and 436 men from the Qanuilirpitaa? 2017 Nunavik Inuit Health Survey, venous blood samples were collected to measure various indicators of iron status and anemia as well as biomarkers of nutritional and inflammatory status and contaminant exposures. Sociodemographic, food security status, anthropometric, lifestyle, dietary, and health data were collected using questionnaires, clinical sessions, and a medical chart review.

Web-Based Interventions to Promote Healthy Lifestyles for Older Adults: Scoping Review.

Background: With the aging of the population and rising rates of chronic diseases, web-based interventions could be considered to support older adults in adopting healthy lifestyles. To date, published knowledge syntheses have focused on quantitative studies among older adults aged ≥50 years. However, those aged ≥65 years may have different needs to be met by these interventions because of the biological and physiological changes associated with aging, and qualitative studies could help advance knowledge in this field.

Web-Based Nursing Intervention to Promote Healthy Lifestyle of Older Adults Living with Coronary Artery Disease: Protocol for a Mixed Method Pilot Study.

To promote healthy lifestyles in the aging population living with coronary artery disease, interventions must be developed. This study aims to develop and evaluate a web-based nursing intervention to support older adult in adopting healthy lifestyles. The intervention will be developed according to the Intervention Mapping framework.

Inclusion of informal caregivers in the palliative and end-of-life care of older adults: a scoping review protocol.

Introduction: Palliative and end-of-life (EOL) care will increasingly be required in years to come as a result of an ageing population. An important component of this type of care is the inclusion of informal caregivers, who are family members or friends offering unpaid assistance to older adults with a terminal illness. Although systematic reviews were conducted on topics related to the inclusion of informal caregivers in the palliative and EOL care of older adults, several gaps remain as they were specific to a health condition and/or setting.

However, the literature on such interventions discusses a variety of components and effects and provides only 2 syntheses of knowledge on web-based interventions with older adults.

Effects of temperature and pH on reduction of bacteria in a point-of-use drinking water treatment product for emergency relief.

The effects of temperature and pH on the water treatment performance of a point-of-use (POU) coagulant/disinfectant product were evaluated. Cold temperatures (∼5°C) reduced the bactericidal efficiency of the product with regard to Escherichia coli and total coliform log(10) reductions.
