A series of animations, videos and 3D models that were developed, filmed or built to teach the symmetry properties of crystals are described. At first, these resources were designed for graduate students taking a basic crystallography course, coming from different careers, at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. However, the COVID-19 pandemic had the effect of accelerating the generation of didactic material.

However, the structural organization behind such a pattern remains poorly understood. In this study tooth cementum from seven individuals from a Mexican modern skeletal series were analyzed with the aim of unveiling the AEFC collagenous and mineral structure using multimodal imaging approaches.

With this aim, CE was synthesized and mixed experimentally with 5, 10, 15, and 20 wt% of ZrO as radiopacifying material. Radiographic images were taken so that radiographic density was obtained and related to the mmAl scale by using an aluminum step wedge.

One of the most promising lead-free family of compounds to replace lead zirconate-titanate for actuators is that of BiNaTiO₃ (BNT) based solid solutions. The pseudo-binary (1 - )BiNaTiO₃-BaCaTiO₃ system has been proposed for high temperature capacitors and not yet fully explored as piezoelectric material.

The treatments also increased the crystalline domain size in the α-chitin fibers. An experimental design of Taguchi allowed the optimization of experiments.

This research was done to determine the composition of crystalline phases for ProRoot MTA.
Methods: For phase identification, powder of ProRoot MTA was analyzed by x-ray diffraction (XRD), comparing the MTA peaks with the data contained in the Powder Diffraction File of the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD).
