Article Synopsis
  • - A 37-year-old Indian man visited a London hospital with symptoms such as hoarseness, fatigue, night sweats, and weight loss, leading to a discovery of left vocal fold palsy through laryngoscopy.
  • - Following extensive tests, including CT/MRI scans and tuberculin skin testing, the diagnosis confirmed a tuberculosis (TB) infection rather than malignancy.
  • - The patient was placed on standard TB treatment and showed significant improvement, highlighting the importance of considering atypical TB presentations, like vocal cord paralysis, especially in high-risk populations.
