Endometrial Biopsy in Low-Risk Women: Are We Over-Investigating?

The appropriate age at which to perform endometrial biopsy for abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is controversial. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of malignant and premalignant pathologies in women aged 41-49 years with AUB and without risk factors for endometrial cancer. Records of women who had undergone a biopsy at the gynaecology clinic of the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal between 2014 and 2018 were reviewed.

Endometrial Biopsy in an Outpatient Gynaecological Setting: Overinvestigation.

Objective: We reviewed the indications for endometrial biopsy at the general gynaecology outpatient clinic of the Université de Montréal Hospital Center and measured their compliance with the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada and other international guidelines.

Methods: Three hundred and seventy-one files of patients who had an endometrial biopsy between January and October 2015 were reviewed. Indication for endometrial biopsy and pathology results were noted.

Objective: Sole use of breastfeeding is recommended during the first six months of life. The treating physician's opinion influences whether or not the patient will opt for breastfeeding. We wanted to ascertain if obstetricians-gynaecologists and obstetrics and gynaecology residents from Quebec offered counselling on breastfeeding and to examine various aspects of their disposition towards such counselling.

Imaging in the management of abdominal pregnancy: a case report and review of the literature.

Background: Abdominal pregnancy is a rare condition that is potentially life-threatening for the mother.

Case: A 29-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain at 17 weeks of pregnancy. An ultrasound scan demonstrated an active abdominal pregnancy.
