The appropriate age at which to perform endometrial biopsy for abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is controversial. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of malignant and premalignant pathologies in women aged 41-49 years with AUB and without risk factors for endometrial cancer. Methods: Three hundred and seventy-one files of patients who had an endometrial biopsy between January and October 2015 were reviewed. Indication for endometrial biopsy and pathology results were noted.
Objective: Sole use of breastfeeding is recommended during the first six months of life. The treating physician's opinion influences whether or not the patient will opt for breastfeeding. We wanted to ascertain if obstetricians-gynaecologists and obstetrics and gynaecology residents from Quebec offered counselling on breastfeeding and to examine various aspects of their disposition towards such counselling.
