Background: The high prescription drug cost in the United States may negatively affect patient prognosis and treatment compliance.

Objective: To fill the knowledge gap and inform clinicians regarding rhinology medications price changes by evaluating trends in price changes of highly used nasal sprays and allergy medications.

Methods: The 2014-2020 Medicaid National Average Drug Acquisition Cost database was queried for drug pricing information for the following classes of medications: intranasal corticosteroids, oral antihistamines, antileukotrienes, intranasal antihistamines, and intranasal anticholinergics.

This systematic review and meta-analysis investigates the objective evidence regarding outcomes in head and neck free flap surgeries using vasoactive agents in the perioperative period. Background: While female head and neck surgeons have made significant contributions to the field, women's achievements in scientific communication have traditionally been underreported.

Methods: A search of high-impact journals in the field of head and neck surgery was performed in the Elsevier's Scopus database to identify the top 100 most-cited articles.

Results: The top 100 most-cited articles (during the span of 1953 and 2016) had the highest total number of citations between 2005 and 2009.

While isotretinoin has been the gold-standard of therapy for severe acne since its approval in 1982, its anti-inflammatory properties makes it a potentially applicable and versatile therapy for a wide variety of dermatologic conditions yet to be explored. This systematic review comprehensively recounts the success of oral isotretinoin in non-acne cutaneous diseases and provide insight into future directions of isotretinoin utility.
