Article Synopsis
  • The study assesses the validity and factorial structure of the Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS) specifically for its Italian translation, addressing a gap in existing research.
  • A sample of 523 participants (mostly female) completed the Italian HFS, and confirmatory factor analysis confirmed good fit for the original factor solution while showing poorer fit for alternative models.
  • The Italian version of the HFS demonstrated strong reliability and psychometric properties, suggesting it is a solid tool for measuring dispositional forgiveness.
