Nurse Leader Perspectives on Precepting in a Graduate Nursing Administration Practicum.

Objective: To describe practicum experiences as perceived by nurse leader preceptors of graduate students in a nursing administration practicum.

Background: Practicum experiences in graduate nursing administration programs provide students with exposure to the real-life experiences of nurse leaders, bridging the gap between academic knowledge gained and the application of that information to the workplace. The literature lacks best practices for graduate nursing administration practicum experiences.

Parent-perceived recurrent pain in children: associations with maternal pain, depressiveness, socioeconomic status, and children's behavioural difficulties.

Objectives: The current study aimed to examine the potential transgenerational associations between maternal pain and depressiveness and childhood pain, and to explore the associations between the children's difficulties and recurrent pain (defined as pain occurring at least once a month in the previous 6 month) in healthy children aged 3-13 years.

Methods: We collected Data between 2015 and 2019 as part of the LIFE Child study in Germany and investigated associations of maternal pain and depressiveness, child age, sex, pubertal stage, emotional difficulties, conduct difficulties, hyperactivity/inattention, peer group difficulties, and prosocial skills, and family socioeconomic status with the frequency of parent-perceived headache, backache, and stomachache in a sample of 1,850 children (4,819 documented visits) using logistic and ordinal regression analyses.

Results: Overall, 10.

A New Perspective on Nursing Retention: Job Embeddedness in Acute Care Nurses.

Job embeddedness considers job satisfaction while incorporating the concepts of environment and community. This exploratory, mixed methods study used the Job Embeddedness Instrument to examine factors that influence retention of acute care nurses. Qualitative methods informed the survey results.

Is a good death possible after withdrawal of life-sustaining therapy?

Life-sustaining therapy (LST) is commonly withdrawn in critical care units. Little is known about the families' perceptions of death when a critically ill patient dies after LST is withdrawn. The purpose of this study was to understand if families perceived that their family members had a good or a bad death when a family member had LST withdrawn after an unexpected, life-threatening illness or injury.

Concept analysis of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Purpose: The study aims to explore the meaning of interdisciplinary collaboration within the context of health care.

Organizing Framework: Rodgers' Evolutionary View of Concept Analysis was employed to identify attributes, antecedents, and consequences of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Methods: Utilizing an inductive approach, a systematic review of the literature was undertaken in August 2007 to clarify the current use of interdisciplinary collaboration in health care.
