Introduction: parvovirus B19 (B19V) infection during pregnancy can be transmitted to the fetus and cause serious complications such as fetal hydrops and stillbirth. The preexistence of specific IgG prevents vertical transmission. Seroprevalence in fertile age is variable (50-70%) and depends on the region/viral circulation, in addition to factors such as maternal age and frequent exposure to children.

The aim of this study was to examine the expression and the antiproliferative role of vitD receptor (VDR) and its signalling pathway in the human pulmonary vasculature. VDR presence and expression was analyzed in lungs, pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMC) and endothelial cells (PAEC) from controls and PAH-patients.

Through the exploration of self and ethnic identity, LHS adolescents may find themselves represented in core values to protect against the negative effects of discrimination and internalizing symptoms. In order to provide equitable health care to LHS adolescents, health care systems, educational organizations, and government agencies must educate themselves on cultural humility and the role that social determinants of health have on perpetuating poor health care outcomes for this population.

Objectives: To investigate the association between maternal cervical cancer (CC) screening status and child human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination uptake. To understand if child sex or social deprivation index (SDI) modify this association.
Methods: We used a national cohort of children linked to at least one parent using electronic health record (EHR) data from a network of community health centers across the United States.
Objectives: This observational study assessed the differences in the gender of the first and last authors in the most-cited dental articles over the last 4 decades.
Study Design And Setting: Articles were obtained through an electronic search of the most-cited articles in dentistry by decade (total n = 400 articles). The 100 most-cited studies in each decade (1980-1989, 1990-1999, 2000-2009, and 2010-2019), with any study design, with results in dentistry were eligible.
An effective pulmonary hypertension (PH) treatment should combine antiproliferative and vasodilator effects. We characterized a wide-range of drugs comparing their anti-proliferative vs vasodilator effects in human and rat pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMC). Key findings: 1) Approved PH drugs (PDE5 inhibitors, sGC stimulators and PGI agonists) are preferential vasodilators.

It is unknown whether these children benefit from receiving primary care at the same clinic as their parents. Thus, among children of parents with >1 SU/MH diagnosis, we examined the association of parent-child clinic concordance with rates of well-child checks (WCCs) and childhood vaccinations.

CD4 T cells play an integral role in this process primarily by generating antiviral cytokines and providing help to antibody-producing B cells. To empower detailed studies of SARS-CoV-2-specific CD4 T cell responses in mouse models, we comprehensively mapped I-A-restricted epitopes for the spike and nucleocapsid proteins of the BA.

Access to care significantly improved following the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Since its implementation, the number of uninsured Americans has significantly decreased. Medicaid expansion played an important role in community health centers, who serve historically marginalized populations, leading to increased clinic revenue, and improved access to care.

Background: There is strong evidence supporting the association between environmental factors and increased risk of non-affective psychotic disorders. However, the use of sound statistical methods to account for spatial variations associated with environmental risk factors, such as urbanicity, migration, or deprivation, is scarce in the literature.
Methods: We studied the geographical distribution of non-affective first-episode psychosis (NA-FEP) in a northern region of Spain (Navarra) during a 54-month period considering area-level socioeconomic indicators as putative explanatory variables.
Acute respiratory infections represent the leading cause of morbimortality in children and viruses are the main etiological agents. Here we describe the clinical characteristics and evolution of infants admitted to intensive care unit with severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) due to Human Bocavirus 1 mono-infection in patients without previous comorbidity. We also compared them with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) cases.

Methods: An electronic search was performed in October 2022 in the SCOPUS database, considering filters by 'subject area' [dentistry], 'document type' [article], and 'source type' [journal]. The search was performed without restriction on the study design, publication yearor language.

Recent years have seen a significant increase in the treatment options for MM; however, most patients who achieve complete the response ultimately relapse. The earlier detection of tumor-related clonal DNA would thus be very beneficial for patients with MM and would enable timely therapeutic interventions to improve outcomes.

In this context, K7 channel agonists represent an attractive strategy for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Therefore, in this study, we have explored the pulmonary vascular effects of the novel K7 channel agonist URO-K10.

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is one of the main risk factors for skin cancer. Our objective was to investigate UV protective behavior and melanoma awareness in a high-risk cohort for melanoma.

Despite increasing evidence suggesting that pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a complex disease involving vasoconstriction, thrombosis, inflammation, metabolic dysregulation and vascular proliferation, all the drugs approved for PAH mainly act as vasodilating agents. Since excessive TGF-β signaling is believed to be a critical factor in pulmonary vascular remodeling, we hypothesized that blocking TGFβ-activated kinase 1 (TAK-1), alone or in combination with a vasodilator therapy (i.e.

Remdesivir has shown benefits in clinical recovery and is the treatment of choice for selected patients, both hospitalized and nonhospitalized, in main international guidelines. The use of remdesivir in alternatives to conventional hospitalization such as hospital at home (HaH) units remains incompletely explored.

Thus, it is likely that parental vaccination status is also associated with their children's adherence to guideline-concordant childhood vaccination schedules. We hypothesized that parent influenza (flu) vaccination would be associated with their child's vaccination status at age two.

To study the similarities and differences between these disorders, we undertook a multicenter international study of one of the largest case series (CNL, n = 24; aCML, n = 37 cases, respectively), focusing on the clinical and mutational profiles (n = 53 with molecular data) of these diseases. We found no differences in clinical presentations or outcomes of both entities.

We conducted a qualitative study of patients with at least two visits who were a primary caregiver for a child who also had at least two visits at the same clinic in 1/2018-12/2019 from two Oregon family medicine clinics. We stratified patients by child age and number of caregiver visits and randomly selected caregivers.
