- Circumcision is commonly performed for various reasons, and this study aimed to assess if routine histopathological examinations of foreskin specimens are necessary after adult circumcision.
- A retrospective analysis of 334 male patients showed that only 2.7% had preoperative clinical suspicions, and among them, only 0.9% were found to have malignancy.
- The majority of patients (97.3%) with no suspicious features preoperatively showed no signs of malignancy, suggesting routine histopathological examination may not be required for every case.
We investigated the crossmodal temporal discrimination deficit characterizing older adults and its event-related potential (electroencephalogram) correlates using an audiovisual temporal order judgment task. Audiovisual stimuli were presented at stimulus onset asynchronies (SOA) of 70 or 270 ms. Older were less accurate than younger adults with an SOA of 270 ms but not 70 ms.
