The study aimed to compare the quality of cervical cancer sample collection between conventional and modified techniques, amid ongoing debates about the effectiveness of the Papanicolaou method.
Conducted on 150 samples from women aged 25 to 64, results indicated a satisfactory sample quality of 92.0% for the conventional technique compared to 89.3% for the modified technique, with insufficient cellularity being the primary issue.
Ultimately, the findings suggested no significant difference in sample quality between the two techniques, as both produced similar rates of satisfactory samples.
