Aims: Biomarkers reflecting myocardial fibrosis and inflammation have been individually associated with left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) and diastolic dysfunction (DD). However, the added value of a fibrosis-inflammation multimarker approach in a populational setting is yet to be studied.
