The dressings are materials that can improve the wound-healing process in patients with medical issues. Polymeric films are frequently used as dressings with multiple biological properties. Chitosan and gelatin are the most used polymers in tissue regeneration processes.

In this work, scaffolds were developed by the thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) technique. An in vitro bioactivity analysis was performed using simulated body fluid (SBF).

The physico-chemical and functional properties of the films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, dynamical mechanical analysis, wettability, cytotoxicity and in vitro antibacterial activities. The morphology studies confirmed that the presence of Mimosa tenuiflora change the surface of films.
