Introduction: Granulomatous infections are common in patients with chronic lung disease. We aim to study the incidence and clinicopathological features of granulomatous infections in a cohort of patients undergoing lung transplantation for end-stage chronic lung disease.
Methods: Pathology reports of 50 explanted native lungs of patients who underwent lung transplantation since 2015 at our institution were reviewed.
Objectives: To investigate clinicopathological and molecular features of NPM1-mutated acute myeloid leukemia that presented with infrequent acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL)-like phenotype and clinical presentation.
Methods: Cases with both de novo or secondary Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) were retrieved. Data from flow cytometry immunophenotyping, cytogenetics, molecular studies, and clinical presentation were analyzed.
Myocarditis continues to present challenges in diagnosis and management. The goal of this study is to determine the occurrence and manifestations of myocarditis in a heart failure (HF) population. The analyzed patients had acute or persistent HF and were referred over a 6-year period to a quaternary HF center for advanced HF therapies including mechanical circulatory support, left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation, and/or heart transplantation.
