: To analyze the performance of custom semi-automated software for quantitative analysis of retinal capillaries in eyes with macula-off rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) and the role of these microvascular measures as potential biomarkers of postoperative visual outcomes. : A prospective, observational, and single-center study was conducted on consecutive patients who underwent 25G pars-plana vitrectomy for primary uncomplicated macula-off RRD. Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) was performed in the fellow and RRD eyes before surgery and in months 1, 3, and 6 after surgery.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to objectively evaluate the longitudinal changes observed in the retinal capillaries in eyes with macula-on rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD), assessed with optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA), and to assess the role of these microvascular measures as potential biomarkers of postoperative visual outcomes.

Methods: This was a prospective, longitudinal study conducted on consecutive patients who underwent 25 G pars plana vitrectomy for primary RRD. The vessel area density (VAD), vessel skeleton density (VSD), and vessel diameter index (VDI) were assessed in the superficial (SCP) and deep (DCP) capillary plexuses.

Purpose: To evaluate the influence of macular neovascularization (MNV) lesion type on 12-month clinical outcomes in treatment-naive eyes with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) treated with anti-VEGF drugs nationwide.

Design: Multicenter national nAMD database observational study.

Subjects: One thousand six hundred six treatment-naive nAMD eyes (1330 patients) undergoing anti-VEGF therapy for 12 months nationwide.

We report a case of ocular decompression retinopathy (ODR) with macular edema, diagnosed by optical coherence tomography, after a deep sclerectomy (DS) with an intrascleral implant, resolved with medical therapy 6 months later. The medical literature reports that in 14% of patients suffering from ODR, a pars plana vitrectomy was required, and 15% of patients had a poor final visual acuity. An otherwise healthy 75-year-old man with high myopia and a primary open-angle glaucoma, with previous intraocular pressure (IOP) of 24 mm Hg, underwent a DS with intrascleral implant without complications.

Purpose: To report a case of severe panuveitis in a patient with human immunodeficiency virus that developed after inactivation of toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis. The patient also developed cerebral toxoplasmosis.

Methods: A patient with human immunodeficiency virus who developed immune-recovery posterior uveitis in the context of inactive toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis underwent complete ophthalmologic evaluation, polymerase chain reaction of the aqueous humor, diagnostic vitrectomy, and cerebral ancillary testing.
