Nexus of Delusions and Overvalued Ideas: A Case of Comorbid Schizophrenia and Anorexia in the View of the New ICD-11 Classification System.

BACKGROUND Schizophrenia and anorexia nervosa are challenging mental disorders. In cases in which the cognitive-affective drivers eliciting abnormal eating behaviors strongly influence diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning, it is important to be extremely thorough in differentiating between the phenomenology of delusions, obsessions, and overvalued ideas. CASE REPORT Here we present an unusual relationship between anorexia nervosa and schizophrenia and also an update on diagnosing them according to the new ICD-11 classification system.

Titanium industrial residues surface modification towards its reuse as antimicrobial surfaces.

In this study, a new material obtained from titanium ingots residue was coated with natural carotenoids having antibacterial properties. The waste is a no recycling titanium scrap from technological production process which was pressed and transformed into disks titanium samples. Through anodization and annealing procedures of the titanium disk, a nanostructured titanium dioxide surface with photocatalytic and antibacterial properties was successfully obtained.

Residual titanium flakes as a novel material for retention and recovery of rare earth and relatively rare earth elements.

The aim of this study was the valorization of titanium flakes (waste) from titanium and titanium alloy ingot production factories and using in applications related to metals recovery as retention bed for some trace metals. The titanium flakes were anodized for surface nanostructuration with TiO nanotubes and then annealed in order to increase the surface stability. The nanostructured titanium flakes were loaded and pressed in a retention column linked with inductively coupled plasma spectrometer (ICP-OES).

Properties of gray and binary representations.

Representations are formalized as encodings that map the search space to the vertex set of a graph. We define the notion of bit equivalent encodings and show that for such encodings the corresponding Walsh coefficients are also conserved. We focus on Gray codes as particular types of encoding and present a review of properties related to the use of Gray codes.
