Assessment of TISA "Transcutaneous Implant Skin Anomalies" scale for cutaneous complications related to bone conduction hearing implants.

Objective: To describe the use of the TISA (Transcutaneous Implant Skin Anomalies) scale by members of the Colombian Association of Otology (ACON) in the evaluation of patients using bone conduction implants.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive observational study was conducted among the members of the Colombian Association of Otology. A voluntary survey was performed, where participants evaluated images of patients with transcutaneous bone conduction implants exhibiting different skin conditions.

Transoral flexible laser surgery of the upper aerodigestive tract with blue laser.

Purpose: The introduction of fiber-guided lasers was a breakthrough in laryngology practice, opening the path for treating different pathologies with minimally invasive procedures, both in the operating room and in the office. The most recent technology in the area is the blue laser, which combines photoangiolytic and cutting properties, characteristics that make this equipment suitable for its use in upper aerodigestive tract surgery. However, there is not enough experience in this area.

Cutaneous adenodermatofibroma: report of 2 cases.

Dermatofibromas (DFs) are common benign fibrohistiocytic lesions, mostly affecting young adults. Many types of DF have been described, depending on architectural, cellular, and stromal peculiarities. Recently, a peculiar type of benign cutaneous tumor showing hemosiderotic DF-like stroma and apocrine glands has been described.
