Background And Aims: Several factors exist regarding the risk for, healing and prevention of pressure ulcers (PUs). A mobile PU team with an individualized holistic approach adapted to the home or outpatient clinic setting could be beneficial for the prevention, and management of PUs.

Aims: To describe the mobile PU team's interventions among individuals who had deep PUs and were living at home.

ProBio is the first outcome-adaptive platform trial in prostate cancer utilizing a Bayesian framework to evaluate efficacy within predefined biomarker signatures across systemic treatments. Prospective circulating tumor DNA and germline DNA analysis was performed in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer before randomization to androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPIs), taxanes or a physician's choice control arm. The primary endpoint was the time to no longer clinically benefitting (NLCB).

Unlabelled: Associations between different sarcopenia definitions and the risk of injurious falls were investigated in 75-80-year-old women in the Swedish SUPERB cohort. Only sarcopenia according to the Sarcopenia Definitions and Outcomes Consortium (SDOC) definition was associated with incident injurious falls with and without fractures in older women.

Purpose: To investigate the association between three commonly used sarcopenia definitions and the risk of injurious falls in a population of older Swedish women.

This study contributes to our understanding of what lifestyle factors affect the social status of women and men in contemporary postmaterialist societies. We examine the dimensions and determinants of social status qualifiers among Swedish people using a survey of 1,650 Swedish respondents who ranked the importance of 14 qualifiers for the social status of a woman and a man. The analysis showed surprisingly strong similarities in what factors affect the social status of women and men - both in the importance of individual status qualifiers and in the three underlying status dimensions: The highest-ranked dimension included status qualifiers related to external material resources and properties.

Objects: The aim of this study was to describe the presence of anxiety and depression among patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and their relatives from diagnosis and during the disease progression. An additional aim was to explore if the patient's physical function correlated with the patients' or relatives' anxiety and depression.

Methods: A prospective and longitudinal study, including 33 patients with ALS and their relatives who filled out the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) at the time of diagnosis and over a period of two years.

Background: Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein is an acute-phase protein with a high affinity for amide local anesthetics. Compared to adults, neonates have lower concentrations of this glycoprotein in plasma, and are therefore at higher risk of developing local anesthetic toxicity. Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein concentrations rise in adults after surgery as a response to stress as well as in inflammatory conditions.

Introduction: Molecular imaging has not been used to support the development of drugs for the treatment of pulmonary disorders. The aim of the present translational study was to advance quantitative pulmonary PET imaging by demonstrating occupancy of the reference asthma drug tiotropium at muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (mAChR).

Methods: PET imaging was performed using the muscarinic radioligand [C]VC-002.

Hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT, Osler disease) is an autosomal dominant disease with a prevalence of about 1 in 5 000. The most common symptom is epistaxis in 90 percent of patients, with an average onset at the age of 12 years. Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations are present in 15-35 percent of patients and are associated with embolic complications, such as stroke and cerebral abscesses.

Background: There is evidence that continuity models of midwifery care benefit women and babies in terms of less birth interventions and higher maternal satisfaction. Studies about continuity models in a Swedish context are lacking.

Objective: The aim of this study was to describe how women experience continuity of midwifery care in a Swedish rural area, and thereby provide a deeper understanding of what this care entails for women.

Background: Up to 85% of people with motor neuron disease (MND) report pain, but whether pain has negative impact on quality of life is unclear. The aim was to study associations between pain, disease severity and individual quality of life (IQOL) in patients with MND.

Methods: In this cross sectional study, 61 patients were recruited from four multidisciplinary teams in Sweden, whereof 55 responded to the pain measure (The Brief Pain Inventory - Short form) and were included in the main analyses.

Unlabelled: In women of ages 75-80 years, a low one leg standing time (OLST) was associated with an increased risk of incident fractures, independently of bone mineral density and clinical risk factors. OLST contributed substantially to fracture probability, indicating that the test should be considered when evaluating fracture risk in older women.

Introduction: Physical function and risk of falls are important risk factors for fracture.

Introduction: Continuity models of midwifery care are significant factors in facilitating a positive childbirth experience for birthing women. A knowledge gap exists regarding partners' experiences of continuity of midwifery care during pregnancy, birth, and after birth, although it is essential to understand the experiences of both parents in relation to continuity of care. Thus, the aim of this study was to highlight partners' expectations and experiences of having participated in a continuity of midwifery care project.

Introduction: The closure of a local labor ward enhanced the possibility to initiate a continuity of midwifery care model project. Continuity models of midwifery care are a cornerstone in midwifery and women-centered care, mainly accessible in metropolitan areas. Australian studies have found continuity of midwifery care to work well in rural areas.
